This luxury semi contemporary wooden house offers guests the perfect accommodation for their Niseko and Hirafu holiday, be it a ski vacation or summer golfing holiday. With five bedrooms, 203 square metres over its three floors, Shika really is a high class, luxury and visually stunning chalet. Shika boasts a fully equipped, galley style kitchen, a media room with English and Japanese satellite TV and a drying room. The chalet is located within easy walking distance of the vibrant Hirafu nightlife, is exceptionally convenient for the ski slopes that make this the powder capital of Japan, and is also close to the fantastic golf courses the area is renowned for. The chalet has free Wi-Fi throughout.
The five bedrooms - two queens and three kings, are located on the top two floors of this luxury chalet. Bedroom one is on the ground floor. It has a wardrobe and two single beds that can be formed into a king-size bed. It is adjacent to the media room, with which it shares a bathroom.
The top floor has the remaining bedrooms. Bedroom two has a queen canopy bed, complete with nets, a writing desk, wardrobe and an en suite bathroom with a shower. Bedroom three has two single beds that guests can easily make into a king-size bed. It has a wardrobe and writing desk, and like all the bedrooms are decorated in a traditional and stylish Japanese manner. It shares a bathroom with a twin vanity set, shower, and bathtub, with bedroom four, which has two single beds that form a king-size bed. Bedroom five has a queen size canopy bed with nets and an en suite bathroom that has his and hers vanity set, a shower and a bathtub. The bedroom has its own private balcony.
The entranceway is covered to provide shelter for guests entering and leaving the chalet. Bedroom five has a private balcony, and there is a terrace on the lower floor. Shika has off-street parking.
The chalet is accessed via the traditional genkan which leads directly to the drying room, ideal for those returning from the ski slopes. The ground floor also has a laundry room. The large, open plan living room, dining area, and kitchen take up the majority of the floor, and the area, naturally lit by the large picture windows, makes Shika a very social property, great for a family gathering or group of friends enjoying their time together. The living room, with its vaulted ceiling that goes up to the roof, has large comfy leather sofas and a gas fire with traditional stone surround and a large flat-screen TV. The adjacent dining area has a glass-topped dining table that sits eight. The galley style kitchen also has seating for four, and is fully equipped including a gas hob, full-size oven, and a dishwasher.
Off from the dining area, is a separate media or games room. This has a large corner setter, and a 46-inch plasma TV with access to English and Japanese satellite TV. It also has multi-region CD/DVD players with iPod connections. The basement floor has a large storage area for ski equipment or golf clubs.
Guests with small children can hire a cot (suitable for children up to two years of age), a high chair and safety gate. They also have free use of a concierge service which is there to help them with anything from booking a restaurant reservation to hiring a babysitter.
The chalet is conveniently located for the ski slopes and is close to a bus stop for the free ski shuttle service. The Niseko Adventure Centre is also close by, and the various golf courses are within easy reach too. Shika is a short walk to a large number of bars and restaurants that cater for all tastes. These include Niseko Ramen Kazahana, Sessa and JoJo’s.
