Villa Asli holds no punches, it is a sprawling, magnificent estate that sits on 3000sqm of land, literally a pebble’s toss away from the beach in Canggu. On the property are 9 pavilions , all exhibitions of traditional Balinese architecture with signature Joglo roofs as the central structural feature. The 5 bungalow suites at the Villa Asli are appointed with luxurious and elaborate antiquated furnishings and are embellished with mentally stimulating traditional figures, wooden carvings and tribal art pieces that are at once rustic and authentic. Laid out at the heart of Canggu’s famed rice terraces Villa Asli offers guests a mix of rich and earthy heirlooms as well as contemporary and majestic comfort in a picturesque setting.
The Villa Asli makes each guest royalty, and the bedrooms are no exception. The villa has five bedrooms, each of which are elaborately set on a pond. Each bedroom unique from any other bedroom on the property. All of them are similar in that they are all expansive and cozy with king-size beds that are canopied, with rustic fittings and furniture and delicately dimmed lighting that transports the guests to an earthy existence but only more luxurious. The wooden structures and art pieces are exotic and tastefully placed in semi open space that gives guests views of the lush plants outside.
Each bedroom comes equipped with a state-of-the-art bathtub and overhead shower in semi open space that they are literally out in the garden. The bathing experience will surely make guests experience rewarding and relaxing baths that they will soak in for long lengths of time.
Each bedroom has got a wooden porch or veranda area furnished with custom made indigenous pieces you won’t get anywhere else. Guests can drink a morning cup of coffee and take in the tropical breezes and sunrises or see off the beautiful sunsets with a glass of red wine and feel they deserve being exactly where they are.
The centrepiece of Vila Asli is the 25 meter crystal clear swimming pool that sits in the centre of the well-kept lawn. The poolside has cushioned pool beds that guests can sunbathe on while they read a magazine or sip on a stiff cocktail. The design is graceful to look at during daylight and stunning to take in the night when all the lights are on, creating a romantic and intimate setting for couples celebrating honeymoon, or old loves rekindling those emotions they once had.
The living area is right at the main pavilion that has a high ceilinged design. Guests can cozy up on the hefty wooden cushioned couches and share endearing moments with family, spouses or friends. This area too is embellished with rustic art pieces including the dining area which has a formidable wooden table that easily sits eight. Guests can feast on authentic Balinese cuisine as well as Western fare, meticulously put together by the resident chef at the stainless and fully-equipped modern kitchen housed in a detached pavilion. On both ends of the swimming pool are massage bales where guests can relieve aching muscles with traditional Balinese massages and spa treatments.
The daily services of the villa Asli are handled by a personal guest assistant, a chef, a pool attendant, a gardener as well as housekeepers and security personnel. Upon your request, a babysitter, a driver, a laundry helper and a spa therapist may be called in. However, their services will be charged separately. Scooter and car rentals are also available.
Nestled in tranquil area of Canggu, Villa Asli offers guests the best escape experience out of hustle and bustle. Make sure to visit some renowned restaurants in Bali such as Métis, Sarong, Merah Putih, Mamasan which are few minutes drive by. Simply sauter around and discover beautiful rice fields interspersed by cute hippies cafes, boutiques, souvenir and novelty shops along the road. Canggu is the perfect harmony between man-made and natural attractions!
