Nestled in the lap of mother nature and designed as a tribute to sustainability is Villa Mako in Canggu. Surrounded by the panoramic views of rice terraces, it is designed to amalgamate tropical country vibes with style and comfort. This one of a kind property has three bedrooms and a non-chlorinated infinity edged swimming pool apart from top notch facilities.
There are three bedrooms at Villa Mako — two master suites and one guest bedroom. The master bedrooms are similar in design and are each furnished with a four-post king-sized bed and ensuite terrazzo bathrooms, which comprise a bathtub, shower area, massage beds, and dressing areas. Both the rooms have louvre shutters that give access to private porches furnished with coffee tables to help you enjoy the cool morning breeze, enjoy a cup of your favourite drink while listening to the sounds of the countryside, or marvel at the stunning sunset scenes.
The guest bedroom is smaller in size and perfect for children. It is furnished with twin beds and has an attached bathroom with a bathtub and shower.
The outdoors at Villa Mako consist of a uniquely designed swimming pool which is kept immaculate by the well-trained pool maintenance staff. The pool has non-chlorinated water and is surrounded by well manicured lawns and tropical trees to provide you with a holistically relaxing experience. The pool area has sun loungers with pool umbrellas for when you wish to take a break from swimming or to just lounge by the poolside. A thatched poolside bale houses cosy cushions to provide you with respite from the sunshine or as the ideal spot to relish the peace and quiet of the villa.
The indoor areas at Villa Mako have a vintage feel to them with the mahogany hand-carved furniture and traditional Balinese handicrafts adorning the living areas. The main living area is situated adjacent to the guest bedroom and houses the kitchen and indoor dining area as well. The room is furnished with hand carved sofas and armchairs to make for the ideal spot to spend quality time with your near and dear ones. The dining area has a hand carved mahogany dining table and high back dining chairs with a seating capacity of eight people. The kitchen is fully equipped to cater to all your culinary needs.
The second living area is semi-open and looks over to the main water feature of the villa. It has plush couches, loungers, recliners, a day-bed and a television set and doubles up as a media room.
The staff at Villa Mako is known for their humble demeanor and amazing hospitality as they make sure to leave no stone unturned when it comes to the comfort of their guests. The staff is made up of a villa manager, housekeeping staff, a gardener, round-the-clock security, and pool maintenance workers. Additional services include barbecue equipment, free WiFi, local phone, hairdryer, closets and safes in each bedroom, bicycles, private parking space, and backup generator. Other services like laundry, massage, in-house chef, airport transfers, private car, and driver are available upon request and subject to additional charges (including taxes). All the groceries required for the various meals are charged extra as well.
Canggu is famous for being a rice farmers’ village, you can take a stroll through their locality and get a glimpse of Balinese traditions and street food. You can also visit the Tanah Lot temple nearby which is known to be carved from ocean rock, or go enjoy a walk by the beach and great surf at Echo beach.
