Villa Putih Satu is a two-storey vacation residence that embodies elegance in design and excellence in layout. As its name denotes – Putih being the Indonesian word for white – the villa has a classy white color scheme that artistically contrasts with the predominantly stone exteriors and fixtures as well as with the carefully chosen stylish appointments and premium recreational amenities. Although the villa’s interiors are furnished and adorned with mostly contemporary appointments and art pieces, there are still traditional and local accents that, overall, still make Villa Putih Satu distinctively Balinese.
The villa has three bedrooms. The first bedroom makes up the entire second floor. Surrounded by glass walls and opening out to a long, rattan furnished roof deck, it affords you panoramic views of the outlying areas especially the famed rice terraces of Canggu. On breezy late afternoons and evenings, this spot is ideal for cocktails and after-dinner drinks. The second bedroom is on the ground floor and features a traditional day bed with an ornate canopy. Also on the ground floor is the third bedroom with canopied twin beds. Both the first and second bedrooms have draped, king-sized beds. All bedrooms have dedicated bathrooms.
The property’s expansive outdoor area is bordered by lush tropical plants and trees. At the center is the 26-meter swimming pool. Dive into its alluring, crystal-clear waters for your routine laps or for some aimless wading. The pool bends toward a shallow area where the kids can enjoy a playful splash. If you wish to bathe, instead, in the sun, laze on the large, cushioned, semi-circular or rectangular rattan pool beds on the stone deck. Or, should you prefer to lounge under the shade, you can relax at the contemporized, rattan bale at one end of the swimming pool.
Right from the waters of the swimming pool, a few steps lead up to the airy, extensive, semi-open and high-ceilinged indoors. About half of the space is devoted to the living area with two sets of large and long couches. Here, you can all assemble for quality moments of family or friendly bonding. The area also has an interesting conversation piece – an indigenous musical instrument that looks much like a xylophone. Just across is the dining area. On the long, stone-top table for eight, you can all feast on appetizing specialties which you all took turns concocting at the fully-equipped, ultra-modern kitchen set up in the adjacent room. Also on the ground floor is a separate spa room with its very own stone massage table and bathtub. Here, you can indulge in traditional Balinese pampering, reflexology as well as other wellness treatments.
Assigned to attend to the daily services of the villa is a staff composed of a housekeeper, a pool attendant, a gardener as well as security personnel. In addition to the spa therapist, a babysitter, a driver and a laundry helper are on call. However, their services come with a separate charge. Bicycles, a car and a scooter are also available for rent.
Villa Putih Satu is very close to the less crowded Pererenan Beach. From here, you can go beach combing on horseback through Petitenget, Pantai Brawa and Pantai Batu Mejan – fondly called Echo Beach – one of Bali’s hottest surfing destinations. Stay for dinner and catch the magical sunset as you have your fill of juicy, mouthwatering barbecues and fresh, delectable seafood at the boat-shaped buffets of Echo Beach House, Dian Café or La Mexicana. Cap the day with after-dinner drinks and live music at Betelnut Café or Deus Ex Machina. On another occasion, include in your itinerary one of Bali’s major attractions – the ancient, island temple of Tanah Lot. For souvenirs and presents, check out the shops along Jalan Kerobokan.
