Villa Can Mestre is a newly renovated three-bedroom townhouse in Deia, Mallorca. The house is called Casa Mestre, which means House Master or House of the Teacher and was initially used as a school. A complete renovation was finished at the end of 2011 and updated the facilities while retaining the original character. The house has wooden beams, and terracotta floors throughout and the original well is still a feature in the kitchen. There are spectacular views from the completely private rooftop terrace and a beautiful, very private courtyard with a brand new Hot Tub to the property’s rear.
The villa has three beautiful bedrooms that create a feeling of comfortable luxury with a bohemian spin. Bedroom one has a super-king four-poster bed, dressing room, working fireplace, TV and an en-suite with a large walk-in shower, WC and washbasin. Bedroom two has a four-poster king bed and a bathroom with bathtub. Bedroom three has a double bed and an en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower. Bedroom four has twin beds and a compact en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower. All the bathrooms have hairdryers and heated towel rails.
The property’s rear is a beautiful, very private courtyard garden with trailing plants growing on the walls and pretty planted pots and a beautiful candelabra. The courtyard has a new Hot Tub that can accommodate 4/5 people at one time, a BBQ and a table with eight chairs, together with two sun loungers. On the top floor is an entirely private ‘sun trap’ roof terrace with stunning views of the mountains and built-in seating with comfortable cushions and a further two sun loungers from where you can enjoy the beautiful mountain scenery. There is parking.
The villa’s interior has a chic design with attention to detail and bohemian touches in the form of rugs and throws. There is an open plan living room/dining room on the ground floor with a fireplace in the dining area. The first floor is a spacious and light second living room with a two and three-person sofa and two armchairs. The kitchen is fully equipped with a modern touch-control ceramic hob, stainless steel oven and microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, separate drinks fridge (in the cupboard under stairs), Nespresso coffee machine, Bodum toaster, kettle and juicer. Separate cloakroom on the ground floor and the utility room has a washing machine, tumble dryer, sink, iron, ironing board, vacuum cleaner.
The villa offers safety and comfort to future guests by always including final cleaning with full disinfection. The rates include fresh linen and towels, including beach towels. The house is cleaned for new guests and if you are staying for two weeks, is cleaned midway and clean sheets and towels provided.
This beautiful villa is located in the terracotta town of Deia. A town beloved by artists, public figures and outdoor activists. The closest beach is Cala Deia a 25-minute walk or a five-minute drive. The nearest golf club is a 30-minute drive to Son Termes. For those who enjoy the outdoor activities walking, fishing, swimming, cycling, golf, mountains, biking, tennis, mountaineering and diving area all available here. The house is accessed via a small step at the front door, but the accommodation is located over three floors. So, regretfully, we cannot recommend this property to those with limited mobility.
