Made from natural teakwood and other eco-friendly material, Villa Melaya in Gilimanuk, Bali is a three-bedroom haven for guests to enjoy a relaxing, naturally abundant, and refreshing vacation with friends and family. The villa directly connects to the beach, so guests can simply walk to its sandy shores and enjoy a bout of snorkeling, diving etc. The villa is beautifully constructed with a lavish dark-stone tiled pool, fringed by palm trees and the ocean in the distance. The interiors are traditional and rustic resonating with Balinese heritage and culture with a Joglo-inspired layout.
Of the three bedrooms at Villa Melaya, the master bedroom is a luxurious affair with a king-sized bed placed on natural stone platform. The canopied bed has sheer, white drapes for a comfortable night’s sleep. The room is air-conditioned and opens out directly to the swimming pool. The en-suite bathroom is partially open-air with tropical plants around the shower area and there are natural stone basins. The two guest bedrooms are equally, well-furnished with canopied, twin-beds also found on natural stone platforms. There are large wooden doors, made out of reclaimed wood and the well-lit spaces are quiet cozy and inviting. The bedrooms are en-suite bathrooms that are semi, open-air, with tropical showers.
Stretching out luxuriously in front of you is the 15-meter swimming pool which is tiled with dark stone, to give a black water effect. There are palm trees in the manicured gardens through which you can take peeks at while you’re swimming in your private pool. The gorgeous landscape is the crowning glory of Villa Melaya, giving you a breathable ambiance where you can take it easy, lounge beside the pool on the sun chairs and relish the tranquility.
The open-concept living area at the villa opens out directly to the gardens and the swimming pool. If you wish, you can pull out the blinds for a cool and soft ambiance indoors. The main pavilion is housed under a Joglo that adds a traditional aesthetic to the architecture. The living area is furnished with sofas and chairs that have been upholstered with Balinese cloth, and there are exposed wooden beams, washed-off walls, and natural material in abundance for an authentic experience. The high-pitched Javanese ceiling also creates a spacious and exciting ambiance in the room. There is ample lighting in the living area and there is even more from outdoors, including the fresh air that seems to flow in to ventilate the corners. The dining area comprises a six-seater dining table with lanterns overhead. The kitchen is fully-equipped with an island and bar-stools with an array of amenities including a Nespresso machine for your convenience. Once the sun sets, the place lights up beautifully in an enchanting manner to give you a space where you can unwind and regain your strength!
Friendly staff is there to help you get settled in, taking care of everything from cleaning to cooking. Apart from a daily breakfast, the chef can even prepare delectable lunch or dinner, however, these are at an additional charge. If you wish, they can prepare for excursions and trips around the area, in-house massages and other services!
Only 20 minutes away from the villa is the world-famous Menjangan Island, which is known as one of the best snorkeling and diving sites! There is a national park in the area that guests can explore and even the beach out front offers a variety of beautiful coral just waiting to be discovered. You can even spot Java’s Mt. Lejen right from the villa itself!
