With a checklist that spells fruit and pine trees as the immediate surroundings, a countryside locality and a marvellous space for 10 guests, Villa Asana of Santa Gertrudis certainly ticks the boxes and more. This gorgeous property is architected with stones for its exteriors to inject an authentic Spanish-style stay, while the interiors exhibit a swag with rustic wooden ceiling beams and raw floor tiles that ups the ante for some charming, country living. Consisting of 5 bedrooms, the main house accommodates 4 while the remaining bedroom is built in the annex area. The entrance into Villa Asana is marked by a spacious, large patio where homely furniture including an alfresco dining table features as one of its main highlights, besides its >10m X4m relaxing pool that overlooks serene views of the mesmerizing countryside.
Villa Asana’s 5 bedrooms are spacious and evoke a rustic farmhouse feel with the use of exposed wooden ceiling beams, big tiled flooring, and lots of wooden elements injected into the furnishings and fittings. The 1st main bedroom is of twin bedding that comes with its own ensuite bathroom and is accessible either from the lounge or patio. Onto the 2nd bedroom, another twin bedding beckons and similarly, has its own ensuite bathroom with shower while accessible via the patio. To find the other 3 bedrooms, guests only need to head up a hillslope from the main house. The 3rd room is fitted with another twin bedding and ensuite shower room, while the 4th is recreated in the style of Balinese double bed, also with an ensuite bathroom and shower. Finally, the Annex space is where the last bedroom is housed, consisting of a lounge area to boot and where the twin beds also have its own ensuite bathroom.
The external walls of the villa are hemmed in with rocks and stones that give the property its stunning identity. Its rectangular pool measures 10m X 4m and is lined with a row of sunbeds with shades for guests to lie under and read a book. Adjoining the side of the pool is a Balinese-styled daybed from which guests can also choose to chill within and look out to the views of the countryside. There is also a shaded spot on the upper spacious patio deck for alfresco dining while surrounded in the beauty of lush pine trees.
The main house of Villa Asana opens up from the patio outside where guests will first come to the living lounge hall with dining space adjacent to each other. The decor is simply rustic in pure countryside style, with exposed wooden beams on the ceiling juxtaposed against raw orange floor tiles. The open plan lounge is filled with rattan cushion sofas and a large open fireplace to provide warmth and comfort, while a solid wooden dining table occupies the space behind. From here, guests can enter the roomy and well-equipped countryside kitchen designed with lots of wood for its fittings and furnishings. An open staircase meanwhile leads guests up to the upper terrace with its gorgeous chill out area furnished with puffs and sofas, and which guests could have the unique roof of lounge open area known as the sky view zone all to themselves to marvel at the vistas beyond and in the horizon.
Staff at the villa performs cleaning duties every 7 days. There is free Internet Wifi available and air-conditioning is provided for all rooms and the living hall. Satellite channels are provided for television entertainment and guests could also request for baby high chairs should there be a need for the young ones in tow.
Villa Asana is located about 3km away from the town of Santa Gertrudis, Ibiza, which, steeped in tradition, is made up of a whitewashed church and a great variety of restaurants, traditional shops and rustic local bars. Check out the main square where all the buzz and happenings take place, and very charmingly, Santa Gertrudis is also known for its rich agriculture pastures where animals like goats and the island’s only dairy cows can be found. Further out, guests will also be able to explore the town and beach of Santa Eulalia that is about 9km away and the main bustling tourist attraction of Ibiza itself at about 11km in distance.
