Sandiwara translates to ‘the drama’ in Indonesian and this villa completely lives up to its name. A luxurious, four bedroom villa, Casabama Sandiwara’s most enthralling feature is its X-shaped upper level which ensures that the floor is always covered and the area remains cool. A 19 metre swimming pool, lush gardens and a spacious, open living and dining area are some of the villas best features besides the plethora of amenities guests are treated to. Part of the larger Casabama state, the villa can be rented individually or along with the two other villas.
The four-bedroom villa includes two master bedrooms and two slightly smaller guest bedrooms. One of the master bedrooms is located on the upper level with an adjoining balcony overlooking the awe-inspiring views. The master bedroom comes with a king-sized bed, aesthetic interiors and a cushioned bench where guests can rejuvenate. The master bedroom also comes with an en-suite bathroom complete with all amenities.
There is another bedroom on the upper level complete with minimalistic interiors and incredible views of the tropical greenery. The master bedroom at the ground level opens up to the garden and the pool and is adjoined by a luxurious indoor-outdoor bathroom complete with hewn stone bathtub. With two single beds, the fourth bedroom also comes with an en-suite bathroom and is enveloped by the captivating scenery.
The 19-meter pool runs along the length of Villa Sandiwara’s walls – which is perfect if you’d like to jump in for a few laps. Completing the outdoor experience is the bright, lush garden with Bali’s unique flora and also the inviting lounge chairs on the pool deck. The villa also has a spacious terrace covered in refreshing greenery which offers uninterrupted views of Mt.Agung
You enter the villa through the pool deck which takes you to the master bedroom, media room, dining area and kitchen – all placed in a linear pattern. Ample open spaces, natural light, and peaceful tranquility defines the villa and the open living room only adds to this charm. Scattered comfortable sofas, a low-rise coffee table and unique local elements complete the living room accompanied by the lovely ocean breeze and soft murmurings of birds. The media room is where you should go if you’d like to settle in for a movie or would like to catch up on some work. With comfortable seating and a flat screen TV, it is ideal for lazy afternoons.
At the pavillion is the dining area which overlooks the gardens on one side and supports an intriguing perforated wall on the other side. It’s an interesting play of light and shadows as evening descends making the dining experience far more pleasurable. The kitchen is done up using wood and granite with everything stocked for you to whip up delicious meals. With a bar table and four chairs, it’s an ideal place to catch a quick meal or a few beers.
