Villa 1880 is a masterfully restored colonial plantation house with 5 bedrooms that has a colorful history that goes back to the 1800s. The renovation of the villa has been beautifully preserved the old school glamour of the property, offering an authentically traditional Balinese experience for the guests. Interior design and decorations of the villa blends in with the vintage architecture, with the use of many wooden elements and traditional art. With all the traditional look and qualities intact, Villa 1880 also offers a great level of luxury and comfort for its guests with air conditioned interiors, in-house spas, Jacuzzi tubs and a rooftop garden terrace that gives amazing views of the villa garden and the surroundings. Creating a pleasant contrast with its vividly traditional exterior, the 5 bedrooms in Villa 1880 are quite modern and contemporary in design. The master bedroom spacious and airy with a garden view through the traditional wooden and glass windows. Guest bedrooms on the ground floor are minimalistic with only a king sized bed, a night stand a simple table with a television as furniture. There are silk curtains hung around the beds in a true traditional Balinese fashion.
The upper floor has two guest bedrooms. One with 8 bunk beds which are ideal for families travelling with kids or solo travelers. All bedrooms have attached bathrooms which are quite luxurious with modern bathroom fixtures and a separate glass shower enclosures.
This unique property has an impressive 19m swimming pool allowing the guests to spend an ample amount of their time simply relaxing, swimming and splashing about in the water. Another specialty of this pool is that it is a salt water pool that gives the feeling of the ocean itself. As a fully child-friendly vacation home, there is a separate and safer kiddie pool for the families who travel together as well. The lush garden of the villa has tropical plants and trees and the staff also provide an outdoor barbecue station.
The villa interior of this restored property have been designed to add plenty of contemporary elements without harming its old worldly charm. The main indoor areas of the property include a dining area, open kitchen and two sitting areas with one working as media room as well. The dining table seats up to 10 people, and the hanging lamp design that gives light to the dining corner is quite attractive. The outdoor seating areas give lovely views of the pool and the garden, while the indoor sitting area is meant to be watching TV or simply relaxing and hanging out.
The staff of Villa 1880 are not only friendly and welcoming, but also quite knowledgeable about exploring around the island of Bali. They will not only give you tips and tricks to navigate Seminyak area like a local, but also will help you get the best deals for a variety of excursions. There is an in-house chef to prepare all the meals at the cost of groceries and an added fee during your stay at this villa.
