Villa Oost Indies is a traditional Balinese home inspired by Joglo-style living that is so intrinsic to Balinese architecture. Invoking an old-world charm and a royal feeling, the villa features intricate woodwork in its three bedrooms and living area adding an opulent ambiance to these spaces. The villa is found tucked away in the streets of Seminyak, close to Petitenget beach for easy access. Swim in the meandering swimming pool that wraps around the facade, walk along the gardens, and enjoy a view of the meditative lotus ponds during your stay.
Villa Oost Indies is home to three luxurious bedrooms, two of which are master bedrooms and the third a standalone bedroom in a separate pavilion. The master bedrooms in a separate building across the main living area, with one bedroom on the ground floor and the other on the first floor. Both bedrooms are furnished with king-sized beds with four-poster canopies, TVs, and air-conditioners. The palace-like bedrooms are decorated with intricate wall hangings, artefacts, and warm lighting. Antique armoires and additions are plenty in both bedrooms that also have a living area with a comfy sofa.
The third bedroom is furnished with two singles, a TV, and air-conditioners and since it is found in a separate pavilion it is a more private space. It also has a sofa, work space, and an antique cabinet. Each of these three bedrooms has an en-suite bathroom with bathtubs and/or showers.
A mosaic-tiled freeform swimming pool is located in the middle of luscious gardens at the villa, that is overgrown with tropical plants and trees. The pool wraps around the villa’s façade so much so that you can dive right into the pool from the porch. The joglo-inspired architecture coupled with verdant gardens makes for a picture-perfect setting. The terraced garden also has sun beds for lounging, and the porch is furnished with many armchairs so guests can relax with a cup of tea.
Housed in a Joglo is the open-plan living pavilion at Villa Oost Indies with its interiors featuring mainly woodwork, with wooden columns, and wood panelling. The warmth in the living pavilion is owing to its traditional interiors including ancient urns, artefacts from across Asia, yellow lighting, surrounding nature, traditional upholstery etc. It is furnished with comfortable sofas and armchairs for relaxing and lying back after a hard day exploring town. Overhead fans and the fresh air create an airy ambiance in the living pavilion to keep it cool and comfortable.
A six-seater dining table, intricately-carved wood, is found in the poolside living pavilion as well. Guests can come here and enjoy their food with an even more spectacular view of the lavish gardens and the swimming pool. Once the sun sets, the place is all the more magical with outdoor and indoor lights, as well as the cool tropical breeze.
The villa is fully-staffed with a villa manager to oversee the functioning of the villa along with its housekeepers, pool/garden maintenance, security etc. There are many special services like transportation, excursions/trips, and massages that are available upon request.
The villa is at a perfectly accessible location, from where you can easily head to the popular beaches of Seminyak like Petitenget beach and Batu Belig beach. There is Pura Petitenget, an ancient temple that you must visit, as well as many restaurants along eat-street offering delicious fares. Beach clubs like Ku De Ta and Potato Head are hot destinations for travellers to unwind during evenings.
