This property has been restored, with the works overseen by Daria Cervini, who runs the Vivo d’Orcia with her 3 siblings. With her tasteful and elegant sense of style, Villa Casa di Giulio carries an alluring appeal for guests where the classic old meets the contemporary new, seamlessly blending in harmony. As the house opens into the piazzetta on one side and a private yard on the back of the house, guests get to also behold some of the most breathtaking views from either one of these spots or from the windows where nature and the landscape are its most prized surroundings. Designed with 3 bedrooms for 5 guests and spread over 2 storeys high, guests will also come to love the terracotta staircase and a saltwater pool that is less than 200m away from the villa.
There are3 bedrooms for up to 5 guests at Villa Casa di Giulio, built over 2 storeys. The ground floor is where guests will find a twin bedroom where bed heads and cupboards are produced by a local carpenter, complete with an adjoining bathroom and installed with French windows that open out to the backyard. Proceed upstairs via the .lovely old terracotta staircase and what awaits is a single room with a charming sofa-like bed that can be converted into a dressing room, and which also leads to the gorgeous Master Bedroom with a 4-poster double bed, framed windows on 2 sides and its ensuite bathroom consisting of an XL shower room.
The outdoor grounds of Villa Casa di Giulio feature the piazzetta on one side and a private yard to the back of the house. On pebbled grounds, the walled-in garden is scenic and Instagrammable to say the least, with a pergola that offers a shady respite upon the rustic outdoor dining table and chairs, and a carefree outdoor lounge with furniture under the draping wisteria. The common saltwater swimming pool is available at guests’ disposal just a short walk down the path along the estate’s orchard.
The villa has been restored to great taste and charm by Daria Cervini, whose sense of style has turned this home into one that blends effortlessly between the old and new. In the dreamy and magical living room, guests can congregate upon the pretty sofas and indoor fireplace in a wonderful atmosphere. While the living hall opens out to the piazzetta, guests will also be awed by the superb kitchen accessible through the large glass doors in which it features an old farm table as the unique highlight for the main dining table.
Guests can enjoy complimentary WiFi Internet connectivity throughout the villa. Beds and new bath linens will be made and provided upon their arrival, as with pool towels. Guests can also request for other optional services that are chargeable including arrival dinner, grocery shopping or central heating, among others.
Guests will have convenient shopping at their disposal with the Vivo d’Orcia village that is less than 1km away from the estate and offers some of the finest shopping here. There is a small supermarket, a bar and a bank, and also a typical trattoria specializing in regional country fare. Other sites of attraction include Abbadia San Salvatore about 15km or 30-minute of driving distance away, and also the farmhouse of Montecucco that lies about 17km from Viva d’Orcia itself. Other places worth checking out include the graceful hilltop towns of Montepulciano and Montalcino, which are steeped in traditional landmarks, quaint shops, cobbled alleyways, vineyards and olive groves and the grandest views.
