In the green and tranquil rolling hills that surround the town of Cortona, a sense of serenity dawns upon guests who stay here at a beautiful stone residence known as Villa Delle Fragole. Consisting of the main villa and an annex building, the property can accommodate 8 guests through the 4 bedrooms spread between the 2 houses. Overlooking gorgeous views of Cortona countryside, Villa Delle Fragole is beguiling for its seclusion, stone-walled architecture, and rich, darker-shade interiors that are characterized by exposed wooden beams and terracotta-tiled flooring, with nuances of classic Tuscan style of design. Parts of the indoors also echo modernity in some of the furniture selection, while the outdoors consist of a beautiful garden with pleasantly-shaded spots, a gazebo and an alluring oval pool, and an alfresco dining area among others.
With 4 bedrooms for Villa Delle Fragole for 8 guests, they are equally distributed with 2 of themlocated on the main villa while the other 2 are found on the ground floor of the annex building. All rooms are configured as double rooms; the ones on the main villa has one that comes equipped with an ensuite bathroom with bathtub and a wardrobe, with the second has its own private bathroom as well as a small living room with a double sleeping sofa upon request.
Check out the beautiful garden that frames the perimeters of the entire property, and which teems with plants and flowers that help create a pleasant shady area for guests to relax and enjoy the present and peaceful moments of the countryside. An oval swimming pool measuring 4m X 8m sits in the centre of the garden, and is open from months of May to October while lined by sun chairs and sun beds on the sun deck platform. There is also a charming and comfortable gazebo from which guests can dine alfresco under the wonderful skies as well as a delightful barbeque area to have their turns with barbequing meals.
The interiors of the villa are characterised by exposed wooden ceiling beams and terracotta-tiled flooring that is synonymous with rustic Tuscan-style design famous worldwide. Developed over 2 floors, the villa is connected by an internal wooden staircase as well as a beautiful stone staircase, which leads to a gorgeous loggia overlooking panoramic views at the top. Guests will have 2 different accesses on the ground floor; the first which directly leads into the large living hall that features large panoramic windows, sofas, a fireplace and an open bar area to boot, while the second entrance brings guests towards the dining hall that is made up of a beautiful marble dining table, as well as a connecting fully-equipped kitchen and a convenient pantry space. Over at the annex, besides being a sleeping space, guests will be pleased to also find a kitchenette to cook in for those occupying here.
Guests will be delighted by the host of services offered by the hospitality team in-charge, which includes beds being made upon guests’ arrival, clean bed linens and towels for use, and high chairs or baby cots that are available upon request. Complimentary WiFi Internet is also provided, as with electricity as part of the stay package. Guests will need to pay mandatory charges for final cleaning services and tourist tax imposed by the week, among others.
Despite its exclusivity in location, guests at Villa Delle Fragole will have no problems accessing to services in the venue of Camucia such as bars, restaurants, shops and cultural attractions, as well as some of the most beautiful Tuscan and Umbrian destinations like Montepulciano, Siena, Florence, Pienza, Perugia and Assisi with just a short driving distance in no time. There is also the Camucia - Cortona train station at 4km and Terontola is of the same distance, while the Cortona historic center can be reached within the 5km radius.
