A truly authentic farmhouse in and out - that is Villa La Cecchella for guests in the North West countryside of Lucca, in between the town and Versilia coast. As a standalone, secluded property, guests have the 5-bedroom villa and its surroundings all to themselves, where mature trees, perfectly-manicured lawns and a vegetable garden provide the much-needed respite and an oasis of rejuvenation. Villa La Cecchella belongs to an Italian decorator who took pains to restore this stone-built heritage by preserving the use of Tuscan materials such as cotto floors and wooden beamed ceiling. While the interiors impart a certain luxurious quality, the exteriors are not to be outdone either, such as the flat lawns equipped with a pizza oven and barbeque, a pool house exclusively for private moments, and the swimming pool under the sunny blue skies.
This villa is made up of4 bedrooms on the main house, whereby there are 2 double bedrooms that are found on the 1st floor and equipped with their private bathrooms (shower space) respectively, and on the top floor consisting of 2 more, namely a double bedroom and a twin bedroom that shares a bathroom with a jacuzzi bathtub. This is not all, as over the pool house, it comprises a bedroom with an ensuite bathroom that makes it an ideal and private nest for a couple or honeymooners.
Blessed by its surrounding of trees, guests have either the countryside views to contend with, or the large flat garden within an open air setting that makes the outdoor grounds a rejuvenating and refreshing area for guests. An enticing, azure swimming pool of 12m X 6m with a line of deck chairs on the expansive, grassy lawn makes one of the best pastimes while on vacation here, as with the outdoor dining spot for some alfresco dining and a good measure of fun thrown in with amenities like the pizza oven or barbeque pit.
The villa’s indoors have been thoughtfully furnished with details after the owner restored this property and maintained the use of Tuscan materials such as cotto floors and wooden beamed ceilings. The crimson red leather sofas definitely add a good contrast to the pastel-shade walls of the space here that carries a host of modern entertainment amenities such as satellite flat-screen television and speakers, with double doors that open out to the scenes outdoors. The vintage-looking dining area also includes an indoor fireplace here, while the fully-equipped kitchen is decidedly contemporary with its marble kitchen countertop and the glistening hoods and cabinets, against wooden ceiling beams. More sitting rooms are to be found on the 1st and 2nd storeys, and one of which comes with a piano too. The pool house is charming, bright and airy with the use of light-colored furniture and furnishings for its self-sufficient living room and the kitchen corner complete with a dining table too.
The housekeeping team will perform about 9 hours of compulsory cleaning per week as part of the stay package. Additionally, other complimentary facilities provided are Wifi Internet access and mosquito netting. The team will also be able to support guests with organising day trips, sightseeing tours, wine tasting sessions or restaurant bookings should they require these or more throughout their stay.
Villa La Cecchella is located within close proximity to the San Martino In Freddana village at about 0.5km away, which consists of food shops, a newsstand and several restaurants for dining out. Just a short drive out, guests will arrive at the beautiful city of Lucca. For a day of arts and culture, check out the artsy town of Pietrasanta and not to be missed are the coastal resorts of Viareggio and Forte dei Marmi. Other day trips that guests could also do include the magnificent monuments in Florence and the wild and unspoiled nature of Maremma in the southern part of Tuscany.
