Nestled in the heart of Chianti, close to the Siena, a large stone-built farmhouse astounds with its historical architecture and the magnificence of its glamorous structure and design. Step into Villa La Corte Di Campalli, which is part of a sprawling estate producing Chianti Classico wines, where its 6-bedroom cocoon will gladly accommodate a group of 12 guests. The villa’s impressive heritage stone building dates back to the 16th century where one of the unique features is its large internal courtyard or ‘corte’ in Italian, where guests can fully kick back and relax throughout their holidays. Thanks to its original structure, the property is fitted with great insulation that makes it airy and comfortable even during warm sunny days. Another great quality is the large living room with high vaulted ceiling that creates the sense of spaciousness and dimension within. The owners have carefully restored the villa in total respect to the traditional materials of the local region, while affording excellent serenity and breathtaking views of the Tuscan hills for guests within its secluded position.
Sleeping 12 people within its expansive built-up of 6 bedrooms, they are spread over the ground and first floor. It starts with a twin bedroom that comes with its own bathroom on the ground floor that is perfect for guests who may not be able to climb up the stairs or prefer not to. Guests will note that the first floor is further divided into 2 separate wings, namely 3 bedrooms on 1 side that comprise of a Master Bedroom with its ensuite bathroom, and 2 other twin bedrooms that share a bathroom; over on the other wing is a Master Bedroom with a sitting area and an ensuite bathroom that can be accessed from an independent staircase that is ideal for a couple who would like some privacy of their own.
The impressive structure and stone architecture of this villa that dates back to the 16th century is only matched by the grandeur of its outdoors, which afford guests with 360 degree panoramic views of the rolling Tuscan hills, vineyards and olive groves that define the landscape. A 12m X 6m fenced pool area that is beguiling with its azure blue waters sits on a strategic position that has some of the greenest views whenever guests go for a swim or dip, while a covered pergola with sun deck chairs lets guests enjoy the scenery should they not wish to bask under the sun. A magnificent outdoor cobbled courtyard is fitted with an alfresco dining table and chairs for charming alfresco dining, as well as lounge sofas on the other end for guests to linger and chill out on with wines and conversations long after their meals.
Spacious and airy interiors are one of the unique highlights of Villa La Corte Di Campalli, evident in examples like its large living hall with a vaulted ceiling that guests have all come to love. Classically and elegantly furnished, the spaces have a certain class and finesse to them, as guests move from the living room to the dining room behind the arched wall that is further fitted with a long wooden dining table, long benches for sitting and a fireplace to boot. The fully-equipped and spacious kitchen area is another delight to be in, bursting with life and colours and fittings that elevate this whole space and further opens out to the courtyard. There is also a billiard room on this level, while the upstairs is also designed with so much space that there is an additional sitting room enhanced by the presence of a fireplace and piano and built with a patio that houses a table tennis.
Guests at this villa will only receive the best of hospitality and treatment, including guided tours of the estate and castle thanks to its belonging to a large estate that produces the Chianti Classico wines, as well as to the wine cellars with its owners. Guests can also assist in wine harvests if they arrive during the month of September. There is also cleaning service for 9 hours per week that is already included as part of the rent package, and free Wifi Internet connectivity for guests throughout their stay.
Villa La Corte Di Campalli is part of an extensive estate producing Chianti Classico wines, and which guests have the opportunity to request or arrange for guided tours of the estate and castle. The wine cellar tour will be an even more enjoyable experience come September, the month that guests can assist in the grape harvesting. It is also located close to the city of Siena with its many attractions and restaurants, and although it is tucked away in seclusion, it is convenient enough to explore surrounding areas, while being just 7km away from the highway that makes it ideal to move around Chianti areas and some of the main Tuscan towns.
