Stay in the fashionable southeast of Mallorca away from the hustle and bustle of city life and the hordes of tourists who visit the popular resort towns and beaches. Porto Colom villa is a traditional finca with a stone façade and tiled roof. Inside, the house is fabulously decorated with stone walls, arched doorways, and the typical traditional wooden-beamed ceiling of the island. Boutique lampshades, a fireplace, and paintings of different landscapes of the island complete the setting.
The house is thoroughly traditional in every way and offers an old-world charm. It is also a modern rental property in a way, thanks to the contemporary décor and luxuries, 21st-century amenities, which means, you will get the best of everything here. Its private swimming pool, fully-equipped kitchen, air-conditioned rooms, barbecue, bar, plush sofas, and wide-screen television will ensure a comfortable stay for guests who want luxury in their holiday. The location is fantastic as well. Villa Porto Colom is in the countryside, surrounded by plantations and groves. It is a very quiet place with a serene ambiance.
The villa has 4 bedrooms for 8 guests. Two of them have large king beds where a small child can also sleep with her parents. The remaining two both have twins. They are not like what you will find in resorts and hotels. Rather, the décor and vibes provide a homely feeling. Minimalism in the design and décor provides more space. Whitewashed walls and soft color tones do not distract the eyes.
The deluxe double bedroom, which is the master suite, is ensuite. Guests staying in the others must share common baths. The best part is that all four bedrooms offer gorgeous views of the surrounding landscape.
A fantastic lawn and garden surround this private estate. The garden blends seamlessly with the green surroundings where you will find groves and plantations. There are hardly any houses in the neighborhood. The wide open space is so large that you can easily look up to the distant horizon. Relax to the trees swaying in the gentle breeze and the call of the many birds. Wake up to serenity and tranquility. Go to sleep with complete silence all around.
Midday is the time for a lazy swim in the private pool. The pool is fenced, perfect for guests traveling with infants. If you are not in the mood for swimming, then you can lie back on a poolside lounger to catch the warm Mediterranean sun and get a tan. At lunchtime, you can head to the shaded terrace where there is a farm-style outdoor dining table. Don’t forget to fire up the barbecue during your stay and enjoy grilled delights.
Porto Colom villa is an old countryside fince with the traditional designs and architecture of Mallorca. It has been thoroughly modernized in recent times, with a clear focus on introducing modern-day luxuries. But many original features remain, like high beamed ceilings, exposed stone walls, and original fireplaces. Old-world charm blends perfectly with modern-day comforts, making this a unique luxury property.
The living room has two separate sofa areas, which ensures that the house will never feel cramped. One sitting area has a large-screen television and the other has a fireplace. The dining area with a table for 12 has a second television for guests who want to see a movie or sports. There is a well-equipped kitchen, bar, and barbecue here.
All the rooms in the house, including the bedrooms, are air-conditioned. For your entertainment, there is a ping pong table, an iPod dock, and satellite television. There is also an iron, an ironing board, and a washing machine, which you will surely find very useful. There are baby high chairs and baby cots for a young family with infants. The kitchen has an oven, microwave, refrigerator, coffee machine, and toaster.
The Porto Colom holiday home gets its name from the small town of Portocolom, which is very close. The earliest settlement here goes back a long time – more than 2000 years. The town has a natural harbor and a small marina. On a trip to the town, you can have food and drinks at Es Torrador des Port or Sa Llotja.
