Authenticity plays a key factor in ensuring likeability and true hospitality for guests in a resort brimming with choices of accommodations. For Chalet Ajacour, its authentic Savoyard vibe and atmosphere certainly keeps guests returning for more, apart from its great location and surroundings here in the popular area of Chenus up on Courchevel 1850. Designed and promoted as a full-fledged family chalet, there are 3 rooms for 8 guests - 4 adults and 4 kids - spread over 2 storeys. Chalet Ajacour also enjoys the reputation of being one of the few high-end chalets in Courchevel 1850 in retaining the alpine spirit and style. Amidst some of the dark timber hues that surround the chalet, are old wood for some of the walls that still work, which lets out some creaking squeaks when the day is done and all is quiet. Among the charming features are an imposing stone and wood fireplace in the lounge, the large armchairs made from cow skin, a sauna and private ski room, and a mix of contemporary fixtures to add a touch of modernity. The second storey also resides on a corner of the mountain that allows for ample space to accommodate bunk bedding for kids.
The property is designed with 3 bedrooms that are spread out over 3 of the 4 main storeys. On the basement level or -1 floor, is where guests will find the children’s bedroom that is fitted with 2 bunk beds and sleeps 2, equipped with its own ensuite bathroom that comes with a walk-in shower and independent toilet space. Head upstairs to floor 0 and a double bedroom awaits, complete with its wardrobe and television. On the upper most floor, which is also the 2nd floor, is where the Master Bedroom is located, configured with a double bed that is also equipped with its own ensuite bathroom that consists of a bathtub, double sinks and an independent toilet space.
The outdoors of Chalet Ajacour is surrounded by breathtaking nature and great white ski slopes, with the closest being the Dou Du Midi slope that is accessible on foot for guests. Besides the slopes, guests have convenient access to visit other beautiful chalet spots here in the Chenus area.
The indoors of Chalet Ajacour is designed over 4 storeys and remains as one of the few high-end chalets in Courchevel 1850 that have kept up the authentic Savoyard mountain spirit. The authentic decor and furnishings have been mixed sublimely with contemporary materials and elements, an example being the brushed stainless steel and glass fixtures that further enhance the big armchairs donned in cow skin, seen at the lounge. In the basement or floor -1, guests will find a leisure area, namely a sauna for complete relaxation sessions, while upstairs on floor 0 is where a ski room is available. On floor 1, is where the main living area for guests is, cosy and stylish in atmosphere while furnished in Savoyard theme, featuring an open and well-equipped kitchen, a lounge and a dining area that is built-in with a fireplace to keep guests warm on cold nights.
Upon arrival, guests will be received by the reception at the property, with a champagne bottle and welcome basket. The housekeeping team will ensure beds are made prior to guests’ arrival, change linens including towels and sheets, and provide end of stay cleaning. Guests will also get to connect to complimentary WiFi Internet and watch international channels on television, and should they require baby cots or high chairs for their young ones, they can always request with the team.
Chalet Ajacour’s privileged location in the area of Chenus meant that it is also close to the Dou du Midi slope and being in front of Hotel La Sivoliere too. The Chenus itself is regarded as an authentic area that features many beautiful properties, where guests could also have the convenience of accessing Slalom and Plantret ski slopes by foot. Courchevel 1850 is famous for luxury properties and restaurants, which include a dozen of Michelin-starred ones. It is the ultimate playground for skiers while there are also no shortage of things for guests to do and see.
