It would be wrong to ascertain that vacations and holidays are meant to last only in spring or summer and winters are boring. In fact, just like other merry seasons, winter too has quite a bit of fun up its sleeves. One of the primary modes of winter vacation is to go on a ski holiday. Speaking of which, Niseko gives just the perfect excuse to spend an entire winter vacation in its luscious snowy slopes. To make your vacation more memorable, the Matthew Penthouse is the perfect tavern to spend your days in this idyllic alpine town. The Penthouse is just a part of the Matthew Suites, which have an exclusive lift lobby for guests.
Matthew Penthouse is located at the top-most floor of the Mathhew Suites building, Capable of housing about four to six guests; this penthouse has two wonderful bedrooms. The master bedroom is decorated with classy modern taste and sports a king size bed. The other room is just like a piece of traditional Japan with its Okinawa-style tatami mats. The room is elegantly made up of tatami mats along with other traditional Japanese elements of interiors. There is no bed present in this room; instead, futons (traditional Japanese mattresses laid over tatami mats) serve for the sleeping arrangements over here.
Renowned architect Riccardo Tossani, who has designed the Matthew Suites, has not designed any specific outdoor area for this villa. Instead, he has skillfully left it up to Mother Nature to take care of it. This design approach has created wonderful results, where the lofty snow-covered peaks of Mount Annupuri and Mount Yotei provide picturesque views not only from outside but also from the large glass windows inside. In summer, the scene differs a lot and presents the emerald views of the mountains.
Matthew Penthouse has such indoor areas, which can easily give tough competition to a high star rated hotel interiors. The open plan of the indoors inculcates the essence of traditional Japanese architecture and philosophy. The living area is designed in quite an interesting way. The sitting arrangement of plush sofas and cushions is lined with the walls of the area just under the bay windows. This kind of arrangement gives a sense of openness. A dining space is located just by the living area with a decent looking dining table. The small yet fully equipped kitchen seems just like a continuation of the dining area.
Matthew Penthouse does not have defined staff to take care of it. Instead, the fleet of staff assigned for Matthew Suites takes care of the daily activities like housekeeping, maintenance, security etc. An in-house restaurant by the name of Yukitei Niseko Restaurant is present on the ground floor of the Matthew Suites building, where /strong>free unlimited coffee is available during the open hours. A rooftop barbeque is also present for parties during the summers and spring seasons.
Matthew Penthouse is located in the busiest areas of the Niseko City right of the primary road. Apart from the in house Yukitei Niseko Restaurant, numerous other revered restaurants are present nearby. The Ace Family Pair ski lift is just minutes away from the mansion. Some of the best Japanese Onsens (geothermal springs) are in the locality which is quite near to the property.
