Located in Kubutambahan, a peaceful village in Northern Bali, Villa Kala is a 4 bedroom villa designed to give you an authentic Balinese experience. It is one of the three similar villas designed and maintained by Grand Mahalani management, each offering a memorable vacation for the guests at reasonable prices. The villa is located about 20m away from the beach, creating an ideal atmosphere for the guests who want to be surrounded by greenery and still be at very close proximity to the beach. The villa interior is very much traditional, with ornately carved wooden furniture and traditional wooden roofs unique to Balinese architecture. This charming property accommodates up to 8 people at a time, creating the perfect little hideout for its guests in one of the most peaceful locations in all of Bali.
All four bedrooms in Villa Kala feature king-sized beds. They are well air-conditioned and have semi-outdoor style en-suite bathrooms. They are largely traditional in their design and resemble an authentic Balinese home with all its grandeur. The decorations hung on the walls are locally sourced with colorful designs that are unique to Balinese art and culture. Apart from the rich wooden colors of the furniture, the color palette used in interior design includes warm colors like red and yellow that adds a cheerful vibe to the ambiance. Apart from the large king-sized beds, there is a comfortable couch in every room, placed against the window to enjoy the lovely garden view.
The verdant outdoor area of Villa Kala brings the guests closer to nature. There are many naturally grown tropical trees all over the garden. They have added plenty of outdoor seating in the garden so the guests can get the full advantage of staying in a holiday villa that is so close to the rich tropical nature that Bali has to offer. On the garden, you can also see a traditional shrine that is a common sight in any garden of a Balinese home.
The living room of Villa Kala is a simple open space with wooden furniture, a rustic stone floor and open walls that face the garden. This bright and airy indoor space consists of a dining area, a kitchen, and a relaxing sitting area. The guests can enjoy their home-made meals sitting comfortably at one of the two dining tables. Each of them seats up to 5 people, and they are flooded with natural light and fragrant tropical air during the day. The kitchen is at the corner, complete with all the kitchenware needed to make a simple meal by yourself.
There is a staff of 6 to take care of the upkeep of Villa Kala and its sister villas as well. They are friendly and quite accommodating, always ready to assist you with enthusiasm and a smile. Apart from the fully equipped kitchen where you can make your own meals, you can also request breakfast, lunch, and dinner to be prepared by the staff as well.
Located in the peaceful Northern province of Bali where there is much less focus on tourists, there are many authentically Balinese things that you can do around this villa. You can take a nice sunrise trek to Kintamani, have a quick drive to Lovina Beach to enjoy the sunset or even go scuba diving to see marine life that is not too disturbed by excessive tourism. While the high end restaurants are quite rare in the area, you can have some really good meals at local establishments like Kubu Tambahan Café or D’kubu Warung, which are quite popular among the locals.
