Personified by the use of timber and wood in near entirety, Chalet Les Solans does not disappoint in its design, choice of material and architecture layout. Located in the popular area of Mussillon, this alpine chalet is built in true savoyard style that harmonizes tradition and modernity with great ease and charm. From the exterior, guests can easily distinguish the chalet thanks to the use of old dark wood for its facade and terraces, while interspersed with grey stone for its foundation. Step indoors and guests will know that they are in for a real treat, from the tasteful furnishings and decor to the spacious areas teeming with lots of objects and furniture to lounge around. With a sizable space of 320 sq metres, Chalet Les Solans is built with 7 bedrooms for 15 guests, made up of 11 adults and 4 children. With large glazed openings and light-colored wood for the walls reminding guests they are in Meribel, the reward is getting to savor panoramic views of the protected surroundings filled with pine trees, and the spectacular evening sunset. Did we mention there are other wow factors like the hammam, massage room and wooden hot tub that await on the terrace too?
Expansive in layout and space - the 7 bedrooms at Chalet Les Solans are spread over 2 floors of this 4-storey accommodation. Up on the topmost level or Level 3 is where guests will find the luxurious Master Bedroom, which is equipped with a chest of drawers, wardrobe, balcony and an ensuite bathroom. The remaining 6 bedrooms are all located down on Level 1 which are mostly made up of either double bedding or twin bed configuration, save for one of the rooms which is a Children’s Room that can be distinguished by its bunk beds and can sleep 4. There are 2 bedrooms here that are equipped with their own ensuite bathrooms and also terraces with jacuzzis to boot.
Private terraces and balconies that are an extension from some of the bedrooms make up the outdoor areas for this accommodation. The external facade is dressed in local old, dark wood while also covered with grey stone. Head to Level 2 of the chalet and guests will be impressed with a large sunny terrace that is built on a natural slope, with pine trees that frame the surroundings. An outdoor jacuzzi on Level 1 completes the leisurely outdoor life at this chalet.
Designed over 4 storeys, the interiors feature a genuine savoyard style that is a cross between traditional and modern. With light wood that dresses the walls, large glazed openings allow for plenty of light to stream inside the chalet. Check out the vast lounge area that is fitted with comfortable green sofas, an old leather armchair, and a large coffee table for gathering of family and friends, with the centrepiece of a beautiful wooden and original stone fireplace. Level 0 is where several luxurious indoor pleasurable amenities are provided, such as the hammam room, the massage room and the lounge with television.
Upon arrival at this chalet, guests will be received with top-notch hospitality from a welcome basket to champagne bottle and bathroom products. The housekeeping team will also ensure that beds are made prior to arrival, with end-of-stay cleaning services provided. There will also be scheduled cleaning during the stay and guests will also have clean and fresh linens and towels throughout.
From Chalet Les Solans, guests could easily get to the resort centre that is 850 metres away, equivalent to about a 5 to 10 min walk. The closest ski slope is called Doron and closest ski lift will be Front de Neige / Snow Front. Mussillon itself is peaceful as a residential setting yet still close enough to places like supermarkets or bars should guests wish to party or have some late night drinks.
