Residence Yasushi is a prime, traditionally-Japanese property with twenty modern rooms including an annexe lodge that not only provides luxurious accommodation but access to the best of Nozawaonsen. Residence Yasushi consists of three, two-bedroom family suites that are ideal for up to five guests including children.
The design will remind you of clean Japanese spaces filled with natural light, shoji screen windows and doors, Japanese artwork and much more. The location is ideal as you can enjoy the many onsen or hot springs nearby including the one at the Residence itself.
There are two bedrooms in each of the three Residence Yasushi Family Suites and they are all ensuite bedrooms. Designed for comfort, the bedrooms include a suite with a twin or king bed and a daybed as well as a compact room with a queen-sized bed. The bedrooms can together accommodate 5 guests without a problem. You can enjoy pleasant views from the shoji-screen windows while also relaxing on the comfortable sofa or armchair.
The décor is kept elegant and simple with natural-wood furniture, plush white bedding, Japanese artwork and more. The ensuites are well-designed with a shower and/or bathtub, windows that allow lovely views of the scenery and modern necessities.
Nozawaonsen is a quaint village in Nagano known primarily for its natural hot springs. Residence Yasushi Family Suite allows you to use the two private onsen available for both men and women with ease. You can enjoy a long, meditative and relaxing soak in warm water and leave feeling utterly refreshed. The onsen has a shower and changing area with modern amenities so you need not worry about a thing. Take a walk along the streets and you might chance upon a roadside restaurant serving delicious Japanese treats.
Residence Yasushi Family Suite comprises two bedrooms that are comfortable, modern with a hint of Japanese. There is a reading room and games room at Residence Yasushi which is packed with fun board games and a nice collection of paperbacks that you can devour while relaxing by the fireplace. The warm ambiance is ideal for a restful day spent indoors as you can snuggle up with a drink and catch up with loved ones. The décor is contemporary with minimalistic accents, exposed concrete walls and an old-school gas fireplace.
The entire lobby area is dedicated to serve guests in order for you to have a jolly good time. Interact with fellow travellers over a cup of coffee from the dining area and nibble on some treats. From fresh bread to cookies, you can enjoy the delicious food prepared by the chef who only uses fresh local produce. Breakfast is choice between western and traditional Japanese and you can alternate as per what you’re craving.
Residence Yasushi prides itself in offering world-class amenities to its guests so that you have a memorable stay in Nozawaonsen. From private onsen for men and women to amenities such as round the clock tea/coffee service, they have you covered. You can store your ski gear in the dry room and they even have a laundry area. Take Japanese cooking classes and learn to make everything from soba noodles to pizza.
Nozawaonsen may be a small village but it packs a punch with over 100 restaurants serving decadent cuisines and authentic Japanese flavours. After onsen hopping, you can grab a bite to eat at one of the cafes or head to Atarashiya that sits just right across the building for their locally-made katsudon. Nagano has many places you can visit including ancient shrines like Togakushi and Zenko-ji Temple. These tours can be arranged by the management upon request.
