A five-bedroom Japanese, Machiya-style townhouse in the heart of Nozawaonsen, Himecho@Yasushi is a wonderful and unique holiday rental with a wooden structure, traditional interiors and a promising experience. The house itself features plenty of open spaces that are integrated to form a single room for use by guests. There are authentic Shoji screens or sliding doors that overlook the neighbouring scenery. Modern comforts have been put in place so that you can settle in without a hassle. You get access to the Hikage ski area and Ogama for an experience with the natural hot springs in the village.
All the five bedrooms at Himecho@Yasushi are located on the same floor with restrooms situated down the hall. The most striking characteristic of these bedrooms is the futons on the tatami floor mats which are traditional Japanese beds. They have been tailored to the needs of international travellers and you can be assured that you will be sleeping soundly right as you hit the beds.
The bedrooms also have Shoji screens that you can slide open for natural light and fresh air, beautiful views and a more spacious layout. On the ground floor of the house, you will find an Ofuro bathroom, which is a traditional bath with a wooden bathtub.
Himecho@Yasushi is spread over multiple floors that accommodates a sitting area, dining room, and the five bedrooms. The sitting area is comfortable and designed with traditional Japanese accents including the furniture, interiors with antique finish and wooden flooring. The quintessential townhouse, Himecho@Yasushi offers you an experience to live in a traditional house that is equipped with modern comforts. You will find various antique and cultural objects that decorate the spaces including the wooden shelves and Japanese ceramics on display. The living room features a floor seating with a comfortable carpeted surface, low-lying table and some floor cushions.
The homely and familiar vibe carries forward to private dining area which is located on the first floor of the house. It has many four-seater tables in order to comfortably accommodate the guests of Himecho@Yasushi. The screen doors allow you to integrate your natural surroundings with the interiors of the house. A kitchen is newly-built and ready for use with various modern appliances with useful amenities so you can prepare a delicious breakfast, light meals and beverages.
