This sumptuous four-bedroom alpine chalet is Niseko accommodation at its very best. It is large (252 square metres set over three floors), is immaculately designed, furnished and decorated, and is perfectly located for the Grand Hirafu ski slopes and a large range of bars and restaurants. Outside you can marvel at the spectacular views of Mt Yotei, while inside you can enjoy a fully decked out media room with a flat-screen TV and even your very own full sized foosball table. It may look like it has flown straight from the Alps, but Byakko has Niseko very much in its heart, with unique Ainu paintings and artifacts throughout the chalet – the traditional culture of Hokkaido and its people. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout this luxury chalet.
Byakko boasts four large, en suite bedrooms. Bedroom one and two are both on the ground or lower floor. They each have two single beds that can be joined together to form a king-size bed as well as their own en suite bathroom with a large walk-in shower. The other two bedrooms are on the upper or second storey. Along with storage rooms they take up the entire top floor of the chalet. Bedroom three has single beds that can be joined to form a king-size bed, a large storage area, and its own en suite bathroom. Bedroom four is the mirror image, with two single beds that can easily form a king-size bed, a storage area, and an en suite.
Byakko has off street parking, and a large balcony accessed from the dining area on the first/middle floor. The chalet is surrounded on three sides by the countryside.
Looking around this ski chalet, you really do get a feel for how much space it has, and how well that space has been used. Entrance is gained via the heated genkan, taking you into this gloriously designed villa. As well as the two bedrooms, a stand-alone WC and two storage areas, the ground floor features a very large media room. Guests can choose to gaze out the huge windows that take up the entire wall and frame the incredible views. Alternatively, there is a full-sized foosball table, a large TV and DVD player as well as local art on the walls.
The middle or first floor is where you will find the dining and living area, and the fully equipped western kitchen. Large windows open out onto unimpeded views of Mt Yotei and the Hirafu ski fields, and the chalet has a library containing books, CD’s and DVD’s. The lounge area features a gas fireplace with charming stone surround, two large suede leather sofas, and a flat-screen TV.
The adjoining dining area with its glass-topped dining table easily seats eight adults, and the independently controlled lighting means guests can set just the right atmosphere for their family and friend’s special occasions.
The open plan kitchen has a stone top island bench that can seat four people and comes complete with its own sink and dishwasher. Opposite, there is a large workbench with a gas hob, a full-size oven, and a microwave oven.
A free concierge service is available for guests. They also have the option, for an additional charge, of the following services: airport transfer; 4WD car hire; portable sleeping cot; high chair; safety gate.
Byakko is perfectly located in terms of accessibility to the ski slopes and the bars and restaurants of Hirafu village, including Niseko Ramen Kazahana, Yoko Oh-No’s and JAM.
