Many believe the town and its neighboring areas are one of the most scenic landscapes anywhere in the world. Stay in a mansion in Positano, which is an iconic property of the town. Its reputation travels far, all over the Amalfi Coast and beyond too. Villa Canonica has 12 bedrooms for 24 guests who want to enjoy luxury living and return home after a memorable holiday.
The landscaped terrace, alfresco dining areas, private swimming pool, large garden, and spacious rooms all offer panoramic views of the Mediterranean and the terraced houses of the town that are perched on the cliffs. Inside, you will find every comfort that will make your stay luxurious. Villa Canonica is close to the town, beach, and many attractions, and yet it is a private retreat, away from the crowds.
The first floor has four bedrooms, all with ensuite bathrooms. They all open to a large sea-facing terrace. The second floor also has four bedrooms, including two family suites. The two separate units each have two bedrooms, one bathroom, and a terrace. The basement floor has the remaining four bedrooms. They are all ensuite and have their private terraces. There is also a common bathroom on this level. What’s striking about these bedrooms are their beamed ceilings, antique linen, antique furnishings, terracotta flooring, and large paintings, which make them truly unique. Artwork, sculptures, and designer lamps transport you to another era. Modern comforts blend perfectly with traditional architecture and designs.
This wonderful rental property sits on a rocky hill and overlooks the Positano skyline. It is spread over 1000 square meters of private land. It features an infinity pool with poolside loungers where you can sit back, relax, and take in the views. You will see boats bobbing on the bay below. On a clear day, you can easily see Li Galli Island and in the evening, it feels like a jeweled necklace as the lights on the cliffside houses comes up. A garden overlooking the sea comes with patio areas, benches, and typical Mediterranean trees. There is a large alfresco dining area where all of you can have an outdoor meal while cherishing the views. Throughout the terrace, you will find several lounging areas for groups of different sizes.
This gorgeous mansion was constructed in 1700. Its current owners embarked on a meticulous renovation in 2013-2014, making it their mission to preserve all the 18th-century frescoes, which you will find throughout the house. Top-of-the-line appliances were added to transform Villa Canonica into a luxury property for the comfort of the guests. The interiors include a spacious living room, a dining area offering sea vistas, a well-equipped kitchen, and several rooms with terraces. There are two living rooms, both on the ground floor. Antique chandeliers hang from the ceiling. They both open to the sea-facing patio and terrace. The kitchen with many appliances is at the backside of the house.
You will be offered a welcome dinner on arrival. Continental breakfast is free every day. Cook and waiter service for 8 hours a day, the cost of electricity, and heating are all included with your stay here. There is also morning housekeeping service for 8 hours a day. Linen will be changed daily. You can approach the chef for a complimentary cooking class to learn about the various delicacies of the region. The villa does not allow pets.
Do not miss Ristorante Max, which is only 10 kilometers away. La Sponda is also very popular with food connoisseurs. Cantine di Marisa Cuomo is very good for wine-tasting. Spiaggia Grande, in the center of Positano, has many bars, restaurants, and beach clubs. The scenic towns of Amalfi and Sorrento are both only 16 kilometers away. You can also visit Naples, planning your trip with a visit to Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius.
