Built with a Maison de Maître that dates way back before the French Revolution and carries an Art Deco wing, is the first stunning conversational piece that guests would have upon arriving at Domaine Art en Vin. With 2 hectares of private parkland and a working vineyard to boot, guests will be more than impressed by what this property has to offer. As its top-notch service commands for a gift package comprising the estate’s award-winning wines to welcome you, guests will soon discover the luxurious, sumptuous and historical tales that await behind the antique doors of the Maison de Maitre. One of its hard-to-beat rich details is the fact that one of Napoleon Bonaparte’s generals had lived here in 1817. If you can pry yourself away from the opulent and visually stunning interiors made up of unique spaces including an art gallery, the outdoor grounds are equally grand with its wine-producing estate of which complimentary tours are afforded for guests.
There are 6 bedrooms found within the joint combination of Maison de Maitre and Art Deco wing to sleep 12 guests, while there is also the option for guests to stay in just the Maison de Maitre itself which consists of 3 bedrooms for 6 guests. The bedrooms are located upstairs on the first floor of the Maison de Maitre which are all configured as double bedrooms, each with a different set of amenities such as a separate rainshower and double washbasin. Over at the Art Deco wing, 3 other rooms stand; the ground floor consists of a double or twin bedroom equipped with an ensuite wet room and an open Italian shower, while the first floor is made up of a Master Double Bedroom with its very own library, a balcony overlooking the park and pool, as well as an ensuite bathroom with bathtub, followed by another Double or Twin bedroom.
The outdoor grounds is one of the most prized areas for guests at Domaine Art et Vin. Spanning a size of about 5 hectares comprising the private parkland dotted with lavender, pine and centennial trees of about 2 hectares, the remaining area is surrounded by the estate’s own endless vines. Featuring wines produced from 9 different grape varieties, the winery has also been listed by the Huffington Post as one of the 10 vineyards in the world to visit. Children also get to have their fair share of play here as it is not just adults having fun with the wine tours, with a game of boules that can be played, as with the petanque court, the heated swimming pool measuring 11m X 5m and terraces with garden furniture of sofas, parasols, and dining table.
As soon as guests push open the antique doors through the Maison de Maitre, a world of magical grandeur greets them, thanks to its steeped history intertwined with the aura of splendour and curiosity. Check out the sitting room with a fireplace, a library, a cinema room, the dining room and not forgetting the well-equipped kitchen that are all posh and dandy. The Art Deco wing in contrast features an impressive Art Deco staircase, a main salon with a fireplace and grand piano, laid on polished antique French tiled flooring and chandeliers hanging from above, as touches of contemporary lend spice and glitter all around. As if these are not enough, there is an art gallery and exhibition space that certainly imbues an additional layer of visual feast and Renaissance-era-like appreciation of the arts with changing collections in the summer months, alongside Domaine’s own historical exhibition.
