Although\u00a0the centre is not very big, it is gradually expanding towards neighbouring Umalas and Kerobokan. Petitenget, for instance, used to be a different village but today, it\u00a0is the chicest and trendiest area of Seminyak with famous restaurants and beach clubs such as Sarong, Bambu, Metis and Potato Head. <strong>Petitenget<\/strong> is not comparable with easy-going, laid-back <strong>Double Six<\/strong> nor with the party scenes going on at <strong>Dhyana Pura<\/strong>.\u00a0Confusing? Let&#8217;s sort things out and take a look at <strong>Seminyak from up-close <\/strong>so you get a better understanding. Double Six area has got a relaxed, easy-going atmosphere. This area is colourful, lively, friendly and not too chic and high-end like Oberoi and Petitenget. Double Six Beach is where you&#8217;ll find all those charming beach bars such as <strong>Champlung<\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/laplancha-bali.com\/\">La Plancha<\/a>.<\/strong>\u00a0When they stall out those bean bags and Balinese parasols on the beach in the afternoon, you know you are having sunset cocktails in Seminyak, alright &#8211; it is an image truly iconic to Seminyak and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.villa-finder.com\/en\/bali?utm_source=vf-blog&amp;utm_medium=referral&amp;utm_campaign=understanding-seminyak\">Bali<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>If you are into traditional Indonesian food, there are some great options you will love in this area of town! One of my personal favourites is <a href=\"https:\/\/web.facebook.com\/WarungMelatiLegian?_rdc=1&amp;_rdr\"><strong>Warung Melati,<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0just off of Jalan Nakula. Another very good local eating place is <strong>Warung Murah<\/strong>, close to the beach. For dinner, sit down for a delicious Japanese meal at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ryoshibali.com\/\"><strong>Ryoshi<\/strong><\/a> and stick around for the live music on Monday, Wednesday and Friday evening. More great live music happens at\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.theorchardbali.com\/\"><strong>The Orchard Bar.<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0This Irish Pub has got original live bands and Irish\u00a0draft beers &#8211; the perfect combination for a really fun night out. In the mood for a fancy dinner with ocean views? Head over to <a href=\"https:\/\/plantationgrillbali.com\/\"><strong>The Plantation Grill<\/strong><\/a> at Double Six Rooftop.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Dhyana_Pura_Area\"><\/span><strong>Dhyana Pura Area<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Dhyana Pura used to be the main <strong>party district<\/strong> of Seminyak. This lively area is home to famous gay clubs such as <strong>Bali Joe<\/strong>, featuring\u00a0cabaret shows, go-go dancers and glamorous drag queens. The gay bar party scene might not be for everyone but it sure as hell is alive and kicking every night &#8211; these people know how to throw a party! If you follow Jalan Dhyana Pura to the beach, you will hit Gado Gado Beach. Here, you will find some amazing beachfront venues for sunset drinks and dinner under the stars;\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/gadogadorestaurant.com\/\">Chez Gado Gado<\/a><\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.moonlitebali.com\/\">Moonlite Kitchen and Bar<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>More about food? <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zulabali.com\/\"><strong>Zula<\/strong><\/a> is a vegetarian paradise to score a healthy meal, a bowl of hot steaming soup and delicious smoothies. Warung Ocha is a great Indonesian restaurant on the corner with a lovely garden to enjoy your food and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/frankensteins-laboratory.com\/cabaret-shows\">Frankenstein\u00a0Laboratory<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0is a restaurant where you can meet and greet zombies and other scary creatures from horror movies &#8211; quite a unique dining setting!<\/p>\n<p><em>Find the perfect villa near\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.villa-finder.com\/en\/seminyak\/villa-la-sirena?utm_source=vf-blog&amp;utm_medium=referral&amp;utm_campaign=understanding-seminyak\">Gado Gado Beach<\/a>\u00a0area of Seminyak now.<\/em><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Drupadi_Area\"><\/span><strong>Drupadi\u00a0Area<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>This is the area of Seminyak that connects Dhyana Pura to Oberoi. Drupadi is home to lots and lots of villas (great location for that holiday home in Bali, indeed!) and there are plenty of <strong>cool coffee bars and restaurants<\/strong>. In fact, the best Italian on the island might be right here on Jalan Drupadi.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.zibiru.com\/\"><strong>Zibiru<\/strong><\/a> is an authentic Italian &#8216;farm-to-table&#8217; restaurant with homemade pasta, live jazz music, a garden and a rooftop terrace. On the corner sits<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lacalongtime.com\/\"> Laca Laca<\/a><\/strong>, serving yummy Mexican food at awesome margaritas.\u00a0Stop by at <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thekoopcafe.com\/\">The Koop Roaster &amp; Cafe<\/a><\/strong> for organic coffee and freshly bakes goods or sit down at <a href=\"http:\/\/umakopi.com\/\"><strong>Uma Kopi<\/strong> <\/a>for coffee and a smoothie bowl. On Drupadi, you will also find some great spas such as <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.spabali.asia\/seminyak.php\">Spa Bali<\/a><\/strong> and there is an awesome yoga studio, too, <strong>Yoga 108 Bali.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>We made a list of the best yoga studios in Seminyak and Yoga 108 is on it. This fashion street leads from <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cornerhousebali.com\/\">The Corner House<\/a><\/strong> (yummy Revolver coffee!) and it goes all the way down to the<strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kudeta.com\/\">KU DE TA Beach Club<\/a><\/strong> and further until it hits Petitenget. Staying in this area is just heavenly for those who love shopping, wining and dining, partying at gazing at the island sunset while lounging at\u00a0<strong>famous beachfront clubs and restaurants.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>On <strong>Oberoi Road<\/strong>, you will find branded fashion stores, designers boutiques, trendy coffee bars and sophisticated shopping malls. There is\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.seminyaksquare.com\/\"><strong>Seminyak Square<\/strong><\/a> and there is\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.seminyakvillage.com\/\"><strong>Seminyak Village<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0located side by side on Oberoi Road. If you can&#8217;t get your shopping done here, you can&#8217;t anywhere! Coffee at <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.revolverespresso.com\/\">Revolver Espresso<\/a><\/strong> is not to be missed! Brunch at <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.grocerandgrind.com\/\">Grocer &amp; Grind<\/a> <\/strong>is a must! Shopping at <a href=\"https:\/\/magalipascal.com\/\"><strong>Magali Pascal<\/strong><\/a>, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/baliboatshed.com\/\">Bali Boat Shed<\/a><\/strong>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kidsagogo.com\/\"><strong>Kids a Go-Go<\/strong><\/a> and many more boutique shops is something to allow yourself and dinner at <strong>La Lucciola<\/strong> will never disappoint! The best spa? <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/bodyworksbali.com\/\">Bodyworks<\/a><\/strong>! In the mood for dancing? <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/lafavelabali.com\/\">La Favela<\/a><\/strong>!<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Petitenget_Area\"><\/span><strong>Petitenget Area<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Many people think Seminyak&#8217;s most famous restaurants such as <strong>Bambu, Sarong, <a href=\"https:\/\/merahputihbali.com\/\">Merah-Putih<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.metisbali.com\/restaurant\/dinner-menu\/\">Metis<\/a><\/strong> are located in Oberoi.\u00a0 In reality, these iconic restaurants are found on Petitenget Walking Street. Petitenget is the <strong>trendiest and chicest district in buzzing Seminyak<\/strong>\u00a0but it is easy to see why people get confused. The famous Oberoi Road extends to Jalan Petitenget and it is not really that clear where one ends and the other begins. Look for Pura Petitenget if you want to find the exact starting point :). Anyway, if your private villa is located in Petitenget &#8211; you are staying in the hottest and most happening part of town!<\/p>\n<p>The Petitenget Walking Street is lined with famous cafes, shops and restaurants all the way until it hits Batu Belig. For breakfast or brunch, try <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kyndcommunity.com\/\">KYND community<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/cafeorganicbali.com\/\">Cafe Organic<\/a><\/strong> or <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/bikubali.com\/\">Biku<\/a> <\/strong>(go for their high tea!). The list of amazing restaurants to go for dinner is just endless. Petitenget is also home to\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.robpeetoom.nl\/EN\/salons\/detail\/2\/rob-peetoom-hair-spa-bali\">Rob Peetoom Spa<\/a> <\/strong>and\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/jiwabali.com\/\">Yiwa Yoga Bali<\/a> <\/strong>where you can go for a session of hot Bikram Yoga.<\/p>\n<p><em>Can&#8217;t get enough of those excellent restaurants and world-famous beach clubs? Look for a villa in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.villa-finder.com\/en\/seminyak\/villa-sayang-damour?utm_source=vf-blog&amp;utm_medium=referral&amp;utm_campaign=understanding-seminyak\">Petitenget.<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Batu_Belig_area\"><\/span><strong>Batu Belig area<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Batu Belig is one long walking street, starting at the end of Jalan Petitenget and it stops at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.villa-bali.com\/en\/poi\/batu-belig-beach\">Batu Belig Beach<\/a> where you can have sunset cocktails at one of Bali&#8217;s latest beach clubs <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tropicola.info\/\">Tropicola<\/a><\/strong>. From Batu Belig, you are finding yourself<strong> just a skip and jump away from the Berawa\u00a0area of Canggu<\/strong>, allowing you to explore the best of Seminyak and trending Canggu. Jalan Batu Belig features cafes. restaurants, shops and more and the street is perfectly friendly for pedestrians and push strollers.
