Although not directly on the beach, the relaxed, modern, and organic in style villa, is in many ways the quintessential beach house. Ideal for those who fancy indoor-outdoor lifestyle, this beautiful home has 2 lovely ensuite bathrooms and a host of amenities including a private outdoor pool, functional kitchen, outdoor shower, expansive outdoor space as well as a beautifully furnished living space.
Personal touches and attention to detail are found throughout the house with the softest linens, beautiful art, and found objects. The materials are natural, textured, and sumptuous, such as the ipe decks outside, the beautifully marbled wood of the cutting boards in the kitchen and the luxuriously silky and soft linens on the beds. Staying in this home evokes a carefree spirit. As island breezes waft through, the stunning ocean views and sounds of the crashing waves and be seen and heard from every room.
Gustavia, the capital of St Barts is a mere 5 minutes drive from this charming home.
Its 2 elegantly designed ensuite bedrooms can sleep up to four people comfortably and exude warmth. Bedroom one has an enormous walk-in closet, while bedroom two an outdoor shower. For additional comfort, both rooms have airconditioning and ceiling fan. A safe is also available for storage of important documents. Both the bathrooms are spacious and comes with high-quality fixture, relaxing rain shower, Hermes toiletries and vanities.
Outside enjoy stunning views over the lush bay of Anse de Cayes, one of the island’s surfing beaches. There may not be sand underfoot, but there is a delightful, private swimming pool that is wrapped by a silken wooden deck, lined with comfy sun beds, loungers, and a private outdoor shower. Just steps away, you can lounge on classic sling chairs or swing in an egg-shaped hanging chair that looks like a cocoon, swaying in the breeze, or just enjoy a nice meal at the large al fresco dining area under the airy, expansive terrace.
The generous indoor spaces is decorated in modern, organic style with a neutral colour palette to invoke a sense of serenity, with straw hats and beach bags hanging on a wall and small plants provide pops of green on the shelves. With high ceilings, the living room is airy, which makes a nice comfortable spot for relaxing while watching a movie or playing board games, with its oversized snowy white sofas and cushions, HDTV, Apple TV, sound system, iPhone connection, and half bath. The focal point of the living room is a hammock that demarcates the subtle boundary between the indoor and outdoor space. The beautiful functional kitchen features a full range of appliances, such as coffee maker, blender, refrigerator, separate freezer, dishwasher, a pass-through counter with barstools, a farmhouse dining table, and a Lacanche range that’s perfect for cooking fresh fish from the local market. (Private chef can be arranged if you dont feel like cooking)

Beyond Villa Les Palmiers are ample activities and attractions to explore. Several of the island’s best beaches are easily accessible - 5 minutes walk down the hill is the fantastic Anse Des Cayes, a surfing beach. Flamonds and St Jean beach, a couple minutes drive, is wonderful spot for a morning beach walk. Gouvernor, Saline and Columbier beaches are not to be missed. Both Gustavia and St Jean are fantastic for shopping. Walk around the areas and you will come across some fabulous boutiques. If you fancy home stores, do not miss Baya in Gustavia and Yume in St Jean while for clothing and other small items, check out Clic, Volver, Montage market, Mackeene, Lolita Jaca and Carla.
To stock up on essentials the Super U, across the airport is the island’s largest grocery store and possibly the best takes two minutes driving time. A turn off the home is a lovely organic market, La Vie Claire. Another favourite local market in Lorient is Ti Marche. These markets typically operates on Friday, Sat and Sunday afternoons, though hours vary with season and you can find plenty of local fresh produce here. For hearty breakfast of warm croissant and baguettes head to La Petit Colombe, a minute drive up the road from the villa. With so many dining and drinking spots across the island, surely you will be able to find one that suits your tastebud and budget.
