We're a villa expert and holiday-planning partner — not a listing site. That means we take responsibility for more than your stay. We consider the land we walk on and the communities that welcome us in every decision we make.
In 2025 we turned pledges into practice: we became a Certified B Corporation, joined 1% for the Planet, cut our carbon footprint, and helped over 100 of our villa partners begin their own sustainability journeys. We aren't perfect — but we're moving with purpose, and we'd love for you to come along.

As a signatory of the Glasgow Declaration, we're focused on cutting emissions — not just measuring them. In 2025 we cut ours by 69% against our 2024 baseline, driven by solar panels that now cover most of our office's power, fewer flights, and more accurate, activity-based measurement.
For the emissions we can't yet avoid, we invest in credible removal offsets certified to Gold Standard and VCS — including the Rimba Raya Biodiversity Reserve in Borneo. And since our very first reservation, every booking has planted a tree.

Sustainability shouldn't be a solo effort. We guide our villa partners toward recognised certification bodies like Sustonica, share tailored insights, and connect them with responsible local suppliers.
Villas that make the effort earn a third-party certification badge on their listing and a boost in our search results — so guests who care can find them first. In 2025 we supported over 100 villas on their path to independent certification.
We're a team of 60+, and we believe the world gets better when people find joy in each other's company. That belief shapes how we treat our team and the communities that welcome us.
In 2025 our team gave 173 hours to beach clean-ups, teaching, and local causes, and we've lent $22,450 through Kiva to reach 850+ people. Through 1% for the Planet, we give 1% of our revenue to environmental partners — every year, on principle.

It means a third party, not us, has assessed the villa. We guide owners toward recognised certification bodies like Sustonica, and villas that earn one get a badge on their listing. We don't hand out "sustainable" labels ourselves — the recognition has to be earned independently.
We treat them as a last resort, not a shortcut. First we reduce — a 69% cut in 2025 — and only then do we offset what we can't yet avoid, using certified removal credits (Gold Standard and VCS) that pull carbon out of the atmosphere rather than simply avoiding it elsewhere.
Yes. Every reservation since 2012 has funded a tree, planted with partners like Treeapp — 31,083 so far, across Sumatra, Java, Bali and Lombok. You can see them for yourself on our live planting map.
B Corp is an independent certification of a company's social and environmental performance, governance, and transparency — reassessed periodically, not awarded once and forgotten. We were certified in July 2025, and it holds us to standards well beyond our own marketing.
