With its structure historically dating back to the 1700s and being part of old Leopoldina, which refers to typical buildings built in this area of Val di Chiana, this residence has been lovingly restored to preserve its heritage and charm while recreating an ambiance that is welcoming, rustic and cosy for all of its guests. Consisting of the main house and an annex building with 4 bedrooms for 8 persons, Casa i Pini promises to floor guests with its sprawling outdoors and gardens, equally spacious interiors and well-appointed furnishings and fittings that complement the overall country-themed design that the owners adopted. To cap off this marvellous villa treat, guests will be delighted to note that it is also ideally located to nearby facilities and sights within Tuscany for easy accessibility to conveniences and activities.
With 4 bedrooms that sleep 8 guests at Casa i Pini, they are spread over 2 levels on the first floor and the disposition annex. The first 3 rooms are distributed as 1 triple room and 2 double rooms, one of which is designed with an ensuite private bathroom with shower. Another double room occupies the disposition annex, and also has a bathroom with shower. The rooms are adorned with simplicity featuring dark mahogany furnishings like a wooden wardrobe in one and a dressing table for another, all while having the distinctive wooden ceiling beams as the main element.
The outdoors feature soothing greens in the well-manicured lawn within a spacious setting, with a rectangular turquoise pool sitting in the middle of the grassy grounds. Measuring 4m X 8m, the pool has an access gate with complete fencing, while flanked by deck chairs and with an outdoor solar shower. A beautiful gazebo is also available here as with a marvellous stone barbeque that makeS for the perfect alfresco dining and social setting where guests could try their hands out using the barbeque.
The indoors of the main residence known as the Leopoldina consist of 2 entrances on the ground floor. From the 1st access, guests will be led into the spacious kitchen area that is fully-equipped, and located close enough to the gazebo and outdoor barbeque. Left hand to this kitchen is a smaller living room while the right-side features the larger living space with a fireplace. The living room leads to the sleeping area on the first floor via an internal staircase. Proceed to the disposition annex and guests will be thrilled by the charm of this self-sustained building that is fitted with a kitchen complete with a dining table, fireplace and seating hall with a master bedroom to boot.
The stay package for guests includes services such as weekly change of bed linens and towels, complimentary Internet WiFi, as well as high chairs and baby cots for the young upon request. One of the chargeable and mandatory fees to be paid is the final cleaning service, while the use of the pool is only available between the months of April and September.
Casa i Pini is located just 7km away from the town of Cortona, while the nearest serving public transportation is the Camucia-Cortona train station at about 4km away. Various facilities are also within easy reach, such as Monsigliolo that features bars and minimarkets about 1.5km away, and Camucia with all the big draws of large supermarkets and service shops at about 4km away, which would serve guests very well. There is also the I Girasoli (Camucia-Cortona ar) Coop that is also another mere 4.5km away, while guests who feel a little more adventurous can also head to other touristy towns like Montepulciano about 30km out and Arezzo about 32km in distance.
