When you want to lose yourself from the hustle and bustle of city life, drive for an hour from Florence, and you will reach a fantastic historical hamlet. Once an ancient 15th-century pilgrimage retreat, the hamlet has now been converted into a luxury escape for guests who want to experience the authentic village life of Tuscany, away from the crowds. Villa Borgo Dell Arte has been impeccably refurbished while respecting its original structure. The wooden beams give the home the character it deserves. The rental property now has many modern amenities too, which allow the guests a comfortable stay. You can rent Villa Borgo Dell Arte and there are a total of 7 properties here that can together accommodate 46 guests, perfect for a large group. Why not organize a small event, perhaps an intimate wedding or your anniversary celebration in a medieval hamlet in Tuscany?
The four independent bedroom suites are located inside the main building of the hamlet, which means, you will enjoy a central location, close to everything. They are all airy, spacious, and have large queen beds. Each bedroom has a private seating area with plush sofas, a coffee table, and reading lamps. Paintings and objects of art decorate the spaces. All the bedrooms are ensuite with a bathtub. Bedroom 1 additionally has a shower too. All four suites have air-conditioning, a mini-fridge, a safe, and a 25-inch television, so you can stay entertained when you want to remain indoors. They offer views of the inner cloister of the house.
The hamlet was established in 1400 around a former monastery. It now has an infinity swimming pool, a changing room with a bathroom, an alfresco dining area, a wine room, a massage room, a billiard room, a library with many seats, and a chapel. There is a private indoor theatre and a projection cinema hall as well. But perhaps the most unique feature is the olive oil production center, which is almost next door to Villa Borgo Dell Arte. And all that is surrounded by 86 hectares of lush green landscape and 15,000 olive trees. You will find beautiful lawns and gardens with many cozy nooks where you can sit back and relax, enjoying the natural splendor. The poolside has a gazebo that offers shade.
This family-friendly villa has an indoor area of 150 square meters. It is on the first floor of the main building. Throughout the inside, you will find elements of classic Italian architecture, like the beamed ceiling, mix beautifully with contemporary touches, which makes the house traditional, and yet modern. All materials, including linen, stone, and marble have been sourced locally. The entire villa is air-conditioned. You will see thoughtful additions like tables and a music system, so you can listen to music and work, both.
There is daily housekeeping for five hours a day, except Saturday. Towels and linen are changed once a week. The cost of electricity and heating during your holiday is included with the price. A washing and dryer machine is available for your use.
The historic city of Florence is just an hour away. Siena and Lucca are also close. You will find quite a few bakeries, cafes, and restaurants close, and many more in Florence. Plan to visit the many scenic villages in the region. And don’t forget to go on a hiking trip to explore the surrounding countryside of Tuscany.
