Built in true Tuscan architecture and design evocative of a rustic, authentic farmhouse, Villa i Cocciai also boasts of its splendid location just 1km away from the historic center of Cortona. With a spacious built-up of 185 sq meters over 3 storeys, the villa is completely constructed in stone for its exterior and presides over a luxurious garden of fresh flowers and trees, which have been fenced up with an access gate. It has 4 bedrooms that can accommodate up to 10 guests should there be a request to add on the 2 single beds to accommodate. Its interiors retain a classic traditional outlook of wooden ceiling beams and wooden furniture, furnished simply for a homey gathering. Out in the open terrace, it overlooks breathtaking views of the valley and Lake Trasimeno for which guests could savor throughout their stay.
Villa i Cocciai consists of 4 bedrooms that sleep up to 10 guests maximum. All rooms are spread over the villa’s 3 storeys. The first room can be found on the ground floor which is fitted with double bedding, while guests can also request for the addition of a single bedroom for extra occupants that comes with a fee of Euro100 per week. Up on the first floor are 2 other double bedrooms, and likewise which guests can additionally request for another single bedroom to be arranged at the same price for Euro100 per week. The final bedroom is also a double bedroom on the uppermost 2nd floor.
Venture outside and guests will be greeted by aluxuriant garden teeming with flowers and trees that offer great shade and respite for guests. From here, guests are also afforded with a breathtaking view of the valley and Lake Trasimeno while this natural terrace is also furnished with outdoor tables and chairs where guests can enjoy alfresco dining, besides having fun with the barbeque grill under the evening skies. Not to be forgotten is the 8m X 4m swimming pool that opens from May to September, while completely fenced up and is safeguarded by an access gate strictly for its residents. A wooden patio strewn with deck chairs and parasols allows plenty of relaxation for guests and completes the facilities here.
The interiors of the villa have been skilfully restored by its owners to provide guests the ultimate comfort, while the uniqueness of Tuscan-style architecture and design is kept intact. Built over 3 floors, the ground floor is composed of a spacious area that is designed with a fully-equipped kitchen, a dining room with dining furniture, and a stone fireplace. Beautiful French windows open out and grant access to the gardens here. Head up to the first floor and guests will find a lovely living room fitted with sofas and armchairs, and adjoining this is another kitchenette that comes with the basics like an oven, refrigerator and stove top. Take the internal wooden staircase up which leads to the uppermost top floor, where a living room is furnished with sofas, a kitchenette, fridge and hob that makes yet another self-sustaining space for occupants of this floor.
The villa is fully equipped with complimentary WiFi Internet while air-conditioning and heating are available by consumption basis. Also available for guests with young kids are amenities like high chairs and baby cot, and the service team will also ensure weekly change of bed linens.
Thanks to the villa’s privileged position, guests could conveniently head on foot to the historic center of Cortona that takes less than 15 minutes, noting how the distance to Cortona is merely just 1km. At the same time, guests could set off in their cars to explore the most beautiful cities of Tuscany and Umbria. Besides Cortona, there is also the Camucia that consists of all its range of services at 2.2km away, the Camucia - Cortona train station of similar distance and Terontola that is also worth visiting at 8.4km away.
