Its exact location is on the southern side of the hill of the ancient Etruscan town of Cortona, and its magnificence certainly shines through its tasteful design and use of colors that evoke the vibe of a sophisticated winter log cabin. Villa Tenuta Pomona underwent recent restoration works which the owners sought to ensure that it is contemporary, yet integrates perfectly into its surroundings and natural landscape that makes this 4-bedroom property for 8 guests a standout. Besides its main stone villa, it has an additional cottage in stone and also features a great garden setting that hosts a large stone terrace, a private pool and lots of exclusivity from its high vantage point.
Built with 4 bedrooms that sleep up to 8 guests, they are split between the disposition villa that consists of 3 rooms, and the final room over at the disposition cottage. Rooms at the villa are made up of 1 beautiful suite with a double bed, a chaise lounge and an ensuite bathroom with shower and bath, as well as 2 other classy double rooms that are all upstairs on the first floor, while the one at the disposition cottage is found on the ground floor that is designed as a romantic suite with a double bed, armchairs and an ensuite bathroom with shower.
The outdoor grounds of Villa Tenuta Pomona afford guests with one of the most panoramic views of the Cortona hillside thanks to its unobstructed and secluded position away from the traffic. Set amidst lush vegetation, rows of olive trees and terraces typical in this particular hill cone area, guests have the luxury of spending time at the spacious stone-paved terrace that serves as an alfresco dining spot with table and chairs and a wood and barbeque oven. From this spot, guests could head for the 4m X 8m swimming pool just a few stone steps down, and is equipped with sun chairs and sunbeds under the comfort of umbrellas.
The indoors of the villa has been restored and renovated with great care by the owners who embedded high-quality materials and finishings to curate a stylish, chic contemporary and warm home for guests. With lots of glass windows built into the architecture, an abundance of light floods in that lends the space the luminosity and brightness. The main residence consists of 2 storeys that are connected internally and externally by staircases; the latter being a beautiful stone staircase. Besides the splendid fully-equipped kitchen on the ground floor, there is also the dining hall and greatly-furnished living room complete with sofas, a fireplace and satellite television to congregate upon.
Guests can enjoy complimentary WiFi Internet connectivity throughout the villa. Beds will be made upon their arrival with new bed linens and towel sets provided. For those with toddlers, they can also request for baby cots from the staff. There is also a semi-covered private parking for guests’ vehicles. Meanwhile, some mandatory fees would need to be paid in addition such as the final cleaning service and tourist taxes chargeable by the week.

Thanks to its five-star location, guests can conveniently reach the Cortona historic center that is 2.5km away, as with the public transportation service of the Camucia - Cortona train station at the same distance. A range of shops and services are within close proximity of about 2km including bars and restaurants, supermarkets, and even a tennis court. For other places of interest worth checking out via a drive, they include Lago Trasimeno about 20km out or the slightly further Arezzo at about 30km.
