Located in a semi-rural area in Puglia is a distinctively unique and beautiful property named Trulli Le Petunie. The trulli is a series of small buildings that are usually designed with conical roofs and formed out of dry stone, a specialty style iconic to this region of Italy - and guests will be delighted to know that this villa is in fact built in such architecture! With the actual home structure consisting of a few spaces that are accessible via their own doors, the other conical structures meanwhile contain bedrooms too. Featuring 3 rooms for 6 guests, the outdoors is made up of a large garden lawn planted with mature trees, a huge swimming pool, and an outdoor kitchen with built-in barbeque that all make picturesque corners for social media moments besides the crown jewel being the traditional, conical trullis.
There are 3 bedrooms in Trulli Le Petunie across the trulli’s single-storey cones. The 1st room comes with a double bed and a single bed, designed with an ensuite bathroom and shower space. The 2nd room consists of single bedding with ensuite bathroom and shower, and the 3rd being a double bedroom similarly with ensuite bathroom and shower. Two of the rooms are interconnected which allow for some extra fun for the young, while the remaining one is independent, offering a little more privacy especially for couples or parents.
The outdoors of Trulli Le Petunie is enveloped by a sprawling garden made up of lawned areas with mature trees, which provide an oasis of relaxation and shelter, as with the number of covered terraces and patios available. A spacious private swimming pool measuring 5m X 10m occupies the center of the garden, as poolside loungers, parasols and hammocks line the sides for guests to read a book or sunbathe under the skies. There is also an outdoor kitchen with facilities like built-in barbeque, sink, fridge and covered dining area while for some sporting activities, the table tennis and football table may just prove perfect.
The unique property of Trulli Le Petunie by virtue of its authentic trulli architecture meant that the few rooms within are all accessible by their own doors. The contemporary and stylish kitchen equipped with amenities like oven, hobs, dishwasher, microwave, fridge and coffee machine, as well as the dining and open-plan living room are confined within the largest of the cones and makes a great interior for conversation starters, entertainment, socializing or simply huddling over a board game or two. Throughout all of its wall surfaces, rustic and exposed stone material create a comfy, cosy and countryside atmosphere for guests.
Guests can request for the following services throughout their stay such as maid service or extra cleaning, private chef for hire or catering, welcome hamper or pre-stocking of the fridge, arrangements of local day tours and trips, airport transfers as well as babysitting and childcare. Other extra services chargeable include additional cleaning, change of linens, massage treatments and wine tours.
Although located in a semi-rural area, the villa is close to a few restaurants and cafes within walking distance and they offer traditional fare including pizzas and Italian dishes. A supermarket and more eateries can be found just a little further out. Its nearest largest town is Monopoli at about 9km away, which as a thriving coastal town, is an excellent place to visit for a day’s outing and teems with historical sites and places to dine. Meanwhile, Polignano a Mare is just 14km away and the Baroque city of Lecce is well worth the visit in just over an hour’s drive.
