Set in Canggu and hidden away down a quiet drive, Villa Desa Roro Dua is a relaxed two-bedroom home base with the cafés, shops and restaurants of Berawa close by. Inspired by traditional Balinese joglo architecture, it pairs warm timber and handcrafted details with everyday comfort. Families feel at home here: little ones paddle in a shallow pool area, a private terrace is set up for BBQs, and a friendly team is happy to cook, grill and arrange massages on request. Need more room for a big group or a celebration? The villa links up with Villa Desa Roro (5 bedrooms) next door.
Choose from one of two bedrooms, both furnished with king-sized beds and air-conditioning to keep you comfortable on those warm nights. Both bedrooms are very aesthetic, complemented with local artworks and Balinese accents. Enjoy en suite bathrooms almost as big as your bedroom, fitted with his and her sinks and walk-in rain showers. As dusk falls, pull the mosquito nets down over the bed, and rest shielded in your little cocoon, your own little space away from the rest of the world. One bedroom has a Smart TV for a cosy evening in, and a baby cot can be set up on request.
Greet the rise of the sun with a smile and start the day on an energizing note by swimming in this villa’s 12-metre long pool. Perfect for swimming laps, it is connected to a smaller pool for guests to comfortably soak in while sipping drinks and talking leisurely. Rest on one of the deck lounges under the shade of gently swaying palm trees.
The common area of the villa is open concept, boasting high ceilings, and a perfect mix of Balinese architecture and modern decorations. From one of its comfortable sofas or armchairs, you can enjoy views of the tropical garden and swimming pool. Tucked in one corner is the dining table, with seating for six, perfect for a relaxing dinner with views. There is also a fully-equipped kitchen that guests are welcome to use, where a wooden table for four is a nice area to enjoy your morning coffee. A villa computer is also available for the convenience of guests.
Villa Desa Roro Dua displays classic Balinese hospitality, right from the moment you step foot into the villa till the moment it’s time to sadly say goodbye, right down to the little details. No request is too big or too small.
On your doorstep, Mata Berawa serves honest Indonesian dishes, and Milk & Madu Berawa is a much-loved family café with a kids' playground and children's menu. Berawa Beach is about 850 m away, and Finn's Beach Club is the spot for sunset drinks. Several well-regarded yoga studios are a short ride away, and Seminyak's shops, bars and nightlife are about a 10-minute drive (depending on traffic).
The villa is situated right on the main street that connects Seminyak and Canggu, so traffic noise can sometimes be heard from the villa.
