Karuna Joglo 1

Joglo 1 has one large, intricately decorated king bedroom. It has a king size bed, with carved beams rising at each corner from the wooden floor up to the ceiling, six metres above. Never before has the word king-size been more fitting, as it really is a bedroom fit for a king – or queen! The bed is dressed with luxurious Indian cotton sheets, with a 300 thread count. Guests have the option of an additional single bed (for an additional charge of $30), meaning that the villa sleeps three people comfortably.
The bedroom is a very impressive 48 square metres, and is decorated with traditional local carvings and artwork. It has access to free Wi-Fi, and is fully airconditioned. Guests are provided with complimentary bathrobes and slippers, unlimited spring water and for added security, there is an in room safe box and fire extinguisher.

Joglo 1 has a large 30 square metre terrace to relax on and enjoy the sea breeze and ocean views. The terrace has its own stylish and comfortable furniture and umbrella and even come with a hammock. The 12 square metre enclosed outdoor bathroom is the height of tropical luxury. It has a separate high-pressure shower, and a two metre long stone bath tub, meaning you can bathe in complete privacy, but in the open air, with a stunning sea view. Guests of Joglo 1 have use of the nearby 16 x 5m swimming pool and there is parking for all guests.

The living area is combined with the bedroom and has a 40 inch smart TV with access to satellite and cable TV channels, as well as a telephone. It boasts a floor to ceiling window wall that is no less than 7 metres wide, that provides guests with incredible uninterrupted views over the bay and ocean. There are an exquisite acacia wood desk and chair that can be used as a computer desk to catch up on emails, or as a handy makeup table.
Adjacent to the bedroom and living area, there is a well-equipped kitchenette. This comes with work surfaces and sink, a full-size fridge, a coffee and tea maker with complimentary tea and coffee provided, as well as an induction stovetop, a toaster/oven, kettle, and French press cafetière. There is also a full array of utensils, crockery and glasses, and laundry facilities.

There is a 24-hour front desk to help with any queries as well as daily housekeeping service, and on-site transport takes guests from the main road to the resort complex and back. Guests also have the option of several services that are available for an additional fee. These include airport transfers, boat tours, and motorbike rental.
