Chalet Iona

The property consists of a main chalet with six en-suite bedrooms that comfortably sleeps 12 people (further beds can be added for large groups). Each of the six bedrooms has a television and its own bathroom/shower. Original art deco and biedermeier furnishings adorn the two master bedrooms, while the four further bedrooms include bespoke oak furniture and hand-made Tiffany lighting.

The surrounding chalet is flanked by apple, pear, and cherry trees, as well as spruce and silver birch trees. The views from its three balconies spread through the Bozel Valley, past 12 hamlets and villages, and on to the Tignes glaciers, which are 35 kilometers away.

A wide bright room can be seen from the broad entrance as you arrive at the estate. Three balconies surround the room, each with a breathtaking view of the mountains. The south-facing balconies are bathed in sunlight from sunrise until dusk.

On the ground floor of the chalet, there are two new sun decks, one of which has a deep 12-person open-air Jacuzzi.

An east-facing breakfast balcony and a south-facing Juliet balcony off this 80m2 suite provide breathtaking ceiling to floor views. For after-dinner beverages and movies, a stylish Zelia fireplace with two distinct seating spaces is ideal. A huge open kitchen, a television, and a cozy spot surrounding the fireplace make up the living area. A strong hardwood dining table that runs the length of the huge windows may seat up to 22 people. There are also bathrooms and coat and ski boot storage cupboards near the entryway.

A 50m2 living room with a 60inch satellite movie TV, a Marantz/ATC sound system, a second fireplace, and enough seating for two to three families is also available. It offers extensive window views on three sides of the chalet and is bathed in natural light. This room is decorated with leather chesterfield sofas, art deco and mid-century Danish pieces made of rosewood, teak, and marble.

Another big lounge with art-deco furniture, a bar, a fireplace, and a 75-inch flat screen TV can be found on the ground floor. Guests are welcome to use the vinyls, board games, and a library full of books to suit their tastes (The complete Harry Potter series in English and French, Dickens collections, Bonte, Austen or Hardy, modern classics such as Steinbeck, Zola, Moliere, Stendhal, biographies etc.) Marentz sound systems can be found in the dining area, kitchen, and lounge.
