Overlooking shimmering and scenic views of Lake Como, is the lakefront Villa Angela on the northwestern shores. With clean lines and contemporary, minimalist design, this 7-bedroom villa for 14 guests enables guests to fully immerse in the beauty of Pianello del Lario and the surrounding mountains. Completed in 2019, Villa Angela is part of the Marchesi di Rozzano family brand, and measures about 2,500 sq metres in overall size over 3 storeys including a basement level. Its interior detailing features the finest and most premium finishing such as antique Lombard cotto tiles, and 20-year aged chestnut material for the stairs and first-floor pavements. Thanks to its locality right on the lake shore, guests could simply idle and relax all day here or head to the public beach that is only a few metres away. Other villa highlights are its large terraces by the bedrooms, and heated swimming pool in the private garden outdoors.
There are 7 bedrooms in Villa Angela that can sleep up to 14 guests maximum. On the ground floor, guests will find the 1st double bedroom complete with an ensuite bathroom, which is also made accessible to people who are less able bodied. Head upstairs and there are 5 other double bedrooms that are fully air-conditioned, each of which is built with their own private ensuite bathrooms. Of these 5, guests will be pleased to note that 3 rooms have their own spacious private terraces to boot, where 2 also overlook the lake views. Each room is distinct in its colours and layout, featuring an original tapestry as decor that is further accentuated by tasteful and exquisite furnishings.
Facing the beach with just mere metres from the shore of the lake, guests also have the luxury of a lakefront swimming pool measuring 7m X 4m that comes with heating from mid May through the 3rd week of September. Surrounding this pool area is a large private garden for guests to take in the scenic views, a panoramic sun patio to soak in the beauty of Lario and the mountains, as well as a private parking area for guests’ vehicles.
The villa that was completed back in 2019 features a spacious interior that makes it an ideal vacation home for large families or groups. Spanning 2 floors that measures 250sq metres each and another basement level of about 200sq metres, the home is decked in prized material finishings, such as antique Lombard cotto tiles for pavements on the ground floor, and 20-year-aged chestnut for pavements on the first floor and staircase. The living room is bright and spacious, with another sitting room that overlooks the lake and which comes with a magnificent and functioning grand piano. There is also a contemporary and fully-equipped kitchen with a wide kitchen island, as well as a large dining hall that is fitted with a centrepiece wooden table that sits up to 18 guests.
The staff at Villa Angela offers guests a broad range of top-notch services throughout their stay, including a superb welcome dinner when met upon arrival. Besides Wifi Internet connectivity and satellite television channels, guests also have entertainment in the form of CD player and DVD player, while enhanced by the placement of speakers for quality sound surround all around. The team also provides daily cleaning and change of towels except on Sundays, as well as a weekly change of bed lines. Various other services can also be requested such as shopping delivery right to guests’ doorstep, transfer to and from airports, private chef for hire, massages and beauty treatments inside the villa, as well as guides for tours and excursions.
Villa Angela’s fabulous location at the shore of Lake Como means guests will have access to some of the most historical and gorgeous sites around from ancient churches and cathedrals, luxurious Baroque palaces, and rich museums - with names such as the Duomo di Como cathedral, Museo della Seta di Como museum dedicated to Como’s legendary silk industry, the Baradello hill and the island of Comacina - among them all waiting to be explored.
