Perched in the beautiful landscape of Porto Venere, Villa Venere, is a spectacular private mansion dating back to the beginning of 1900. Villa Venere has astonishing views overlooking the bay of Porto Venere and the Palmaria Island that can be enjoyed from the private terrace, swimming pool and bedrooms. This traditional yet modern-styled residence offers 230 sq meters of living space which is fully air-conditioned with WIFI. Located directly on the seafront, Villa Venere is a rare gem on this picturesque side of the Ligurian coast, for groups of up to 8 guests with a 4 bedroom capacity and an additional apartment available on request.
Consisting of 4 bedrooms in total, the main 3 bedrooms are located in the main house. 2 of the double bedrooms have a king size bed and en suite bathrooms with showers, the other has a queen size bed that is adjacent to the bathroom with bath. Two of the bedrooms are separated by a charming boudoir for relaxing or reading after a long day. From the wardrobe area, there is direct access to the rear terrace which leads to the laundry and the cottage. In the detached cottage, there is a double bedroom and a small bathroom with a shower.
The splendid outdoors of Villa Venere can be attributed to the various top-notch facilities and views that guests are provided. Surrounded by nearly 3.000 sq.m. of terraced area, guests are welcome to enjoy a private swimming pool, gardens and a spacious and panoramic terrace all with some of the most magnificent sea vistas. There is also a large private parking that can fit 3 cars with an electric gate for safety. There is plenty of opportunities to relax in the shade under centuries-old carob trees, palms, olive trees, Myrtus, Buxus, and pittosporum.
The property has been entirely restored and renewed and oozes elegance through a traditional yet modern style through the living area. On the ground floor, the spacious living room is furnished with antiques and design pieces, pink and yellow sofas, and an ancient Carrara marble chimney. In the elegant dining room, 8 people may sit around the square English table. The large and beautiful kitchen is well equipped with all sorts of appliances. From a passage, decorated with a nice trompe l'oeil, you get to a small bathroom and also to the beautiful marble staircase which leads to the upper floor.
Villa Venere's is cared for by a dedicated local team of staff who will be on hand throughout your stay. They are able to provide a daily housekeeper who will come to take care of the daily chores, a gardener and pool maintenance. The villa’s prime position on the sea allows guests to admire amazing sunsets from the popular Grotta di Lord Byron, just a gentle 15 minute walk. It's located 4km to the charming village of Le Grazie with an array of restaurants, bars and shops and a further 12km to the popular La Spezia Town for more sightseeing and shopping. A host of activities are available for guests to participate in including traditional cooking lessons, boating, hiking and golfing that will surely be loved by old or young alike.
