A former farmhouse that has its legacy immortalized as a 350-year old stunning Bastide is the main draw for guests when booking this accommodation. Known today as Le Petit Hopital that is located in the Luberon area of South France, this opulent and countryside-rustic home features some of the most high-end intricacies in both its interior and exterior, such as an elegant staircase, state-of-the-art furniture and lovingly manicured gardens - scenes like those straight out from a period movie! Containing 8 classic bedrooms, the sturdy property snuggles in perfectly with its surroundings that are either enclosed by fruit orchards and within close proximity to the very charming and quaint town of Isle-Sur-La-Sorgue, while pretty wineries are also easily accessible for guests to chill against the backdrop of majestic mountains.
Le Petit Hopital has 8 tastefully and elegantly furnished bedrooms that are reminiscent of the lavish days of yesteryear of bourgeois France. Fitted with double-beds for all of the rooms, the fittings and furniture are sumptuous in its selection with thoughtful placement to evoke the distinct classical and romantic vibes in each. No bedrooms look the same, and decorative pieces such as a daybed in one, a writing desk or dressing table in another, and cabinets of different designs and upholstery or shades in various styles make sleeping in a wondrous affair. There are 9 bathrooms in total throughout the home, which make 8 of them as ensuite facilities and the remaining one as an additional guest bathroom. The bathrooms carry the same level of opulence whether in features like the wall tiling, double wash basins or the soaking bathtubs.
A favourite outdoor spot of this home is surely the expansive courtyard area, which is a hidden gem of oasis behind the grand antique iron gates. Under large shady trees, this courtyard offers spots for quiet relaxation and reflection, overlooking the delightful acres of fruit orchards that are just next door when especially the fruiting season beckons, or the great mountains that stretch in the horizon beyond. Another spot of enjoyment is the swimming pool fenced in by rose gardens where guests could have a refreshing dip under the clear sunny skies that Provence of France is famous for. In fact, the pool dates back to 200 years of heritage and features its centerpiece fountain that adds a touch of grandeur. Guests can also raise your glass to toast to such a memorable stay at the alfresco dining seats.
Well-appointed interiors for this property are what guests can look forward to at Le Petit Hopital. At the ground level, luxurious sofa and couches create the perfect atmosphere for top-notch living with coffee tables that are tastefully selected to suit the overall theme. Adjoining this living hall is the dining area that can sit a total of 16 guests on its long banquet table. Located on the other end across is the open-concept gourmet kitchen that is inviting and handsomely designed with bricks and within its expansive space, guests could comfortably whip up fine dining meals throughout their stay using the host of state-of-the-art facilities and utilities provided - comparable to any Masterchef or five-star hotels’ kitchens. Upstairs as led by its elegant stone staircase, guests will be thrilled to find more living hall space with a fireplace to boot, the full set of sofas and furniture, as well as a smaller dining table to have your daily afternoon teas or conversations and entertaining of guests.
