The panoramic views of Val d’Orcia, a World Heritage Site in southern Tuscany, Italy, can be best appreciated from an accommodation as luxurious and stunning as Villa Palazzetta, a 4-bedroom villa that is located on a bluff overlooking the renowned hilltown of Montalcino, it is just a 5 minutes walk to the town. While the villa’s origins date back to the 1600s, it has been gloriously restored by the new owners to its finest grandeur today, resulting in a contemporary and tasteful house that features the best of Italian furniture and customized local artefacts. In the spirit of true Italian surroundings, a charming vineyard and olive and fruit orchard sit within this 5-acre gated property, streamed in by extraordinary lighting that all serve to offer guests a spatial sense of complete surrealness, magnificence and beauty.
The 4 bedrooms at the villa each bear unique names and are painted in pastel-colored walls that lend cast an intimate setting to them. The first bedroom called Bedroom Cipressi is configured with a king-sized bed and its own ensuite bathroom. The next two rooms are fitted with queen beddings namely Bedroom Vitaletta and Bedroom Amiata that also have their own attached bathrooms. Last but not least, is Bedroom Val d’Orcia that comes with 2 single beds as well as its bathroom. Lovely furniture pieces that are minimalist in design carry the interiors with much panache.
The external grounds feature a a covered patio area that doubles as an alfresco dining space for guests with its long wooden table and lightbulbs that drape over the wooden beams. Next up is the spacious outdoor gathering space that is furnished with lounge-type sofas and pillows for guests to mingle, share laughter and conversations and simply socialise. A rectangular pool measuring 4m X 8m that is solar-heated occupies a central spot by the paved terrace while lined with deck chairs on one side and some casual round tables and chairs on the other, and faces the alfresco dining patio.
Inside the dwelling is where guests can feel pleasantly inspired by the space and interior design, which is both elegant and stylish. The spacious living hall with its cotta-tiled flooring is chic with the same kind of minimalist furniture with clean lines that are similarly found in the bedrooms, while a floor-to-ceiling sliding glass door offers the best of nature to stream indoors. The equally chic dining space consists of a long wooden table with chairs that also takes advantage of views from the outdoor gathering space. Pop over to the fully-equipped kitchen and guests will find that it is solidly built with the finest materials, replete with an ample island kitchen that also acts as a perfect dining spot with high-bar stools to hang out on.
