This traditional 17th century country house is bright and cheery, thanks to the sunny yellow color used for its interior walls that guests would find themselves in for a pleasant treat and surprise. Meet Villa Il Leccio, which is part of a stunning estate cultivated with extra virgin olive oil and commands an extremely vantage spot over the plains of Lucca below. Built with 6 bedrooms for 12 guests, stone-built exterior walls rule the roost, as green vines and plants drape different segments of the outside that lend a certain charisma to the overall property. A giant holm oak guards the front of the house stately, while a large swimming pool sprawls at the center of the grassy lawn for guests to take swims and soak in the views. A unique highlight is that the first floor is reachable via different staircases, and a tennis court is available at the estate for guests to swing a game or two.

The bright and spacious living area is characterised by chirpy yellow walls, curved arches, wooden ceiling beams, patterned curtains and comfy sofas that all help to evoke the charming countryside feel. Over at the dining room, the cheery vibe continues with the lovely vintage-like furniture, and a dining table set with floral tablecloth. Just behind a doorway opening is the well-equipped kitchen area with modern amenities but retains its identity of countryside vigour as the consistent theme throughout.
Besides air-conditioned bedrooms, guests get to also enjoy complimentary WiFi Internet throughout their stay. Cleaning service is also carried out 2 hours per day for 3 days a week. The estate’s English speaking staff meanwhile are at guests’ disposal or request to offer cooking classes or any other services that guests require, including as private chefs for hire to whip up meals.
The nearest town to Villa Il Leccio is Segromigno in Monte, about 2km away. The house is also close enough to the city of Lucca, which is about 12km in distance. Guests will be pleased to note that it is also a short drive away to other main Tuscan cities and the Versilia Coast with its many coastal towns in this region. Not to be missed are also the renowned Lucchese historical villas that congregate in this part of the countryside.
