The history that permeates this villa is outstanding, offering character and context to the overall property and why guests would love it here. Introducing Villa Son Balagueret, a secluded 4-bedroom villa within the Son Bunyola estate of northwest coast in Mallorca. Its distinctive traditional architecture is epitomized in the stone-built facade, pillars and walls, with equally vintage-conjured interiors, while the history is reflected in its original turret that dates back to the 13th century - certainly a wow factor to the group of 8 guests staying here. Also fascinating are the small secret windows that would have been used in the past for signalling to similar lookout points in the area to warn of possible attacks. There are plenty to immerse within its shared spaces, including the interconnected lounge and dining areas indoors and the alfresco terrace and outdoor lounge to savour the breathtaking nature and great Meditteranean Sea.
Bedrooms at Villa Son Balagueret are tasteful and sophisticated, as some of the most exquisite furnishings enliven the space and make them most hospitable and heartwarming for guests. Some furniture are made of classic dark wood but well-harmonized against white or lighter-hued pieces for the perfect complement. Sleeping up to 8 guests, the 4 rooms are distinguished in their layout that no one room looks the same. One of the bedrooms is located in the villa’s signature turret, with the unique highlight being the curved stairwell that leads from its equally luxurious bathroom on the lower level. What caps as the icing on the cake for guests here are the breathtaking views of the Mallorcan landscape outdoors that are visible from each of the rooms.
The sunny disposition of the outdoor areas certainly renders them delightful for guests. With its stone pillars and terracotta tiled flooring for the rustic look, the 2 main spots that guests would favor are the alfresco dining space complemented by an outdoor lounge, as well as the tantalizing rectangular private pool dotted with sunbeds in a row. Surrounded by lush greenery that frames the fringes of the outdoors, guests can look forward to dining and entertaining with a view - whether it is the stunning vistas of the coastline, or simply the eye-soothing plants and trees around. The heated pool measures about 12m X 5.5m in dimension for really great space to dip and swim in.
The interiors emanate great personality and charisma with the burst of colors used in the furnishings, fittings, upholstery and statement pieces. It boasts an interconnected lounge and dining area via split steps that allow guests to lounge, chill and have their breakfasts or any meals within an immediate joint communal space. Large comfy sofas occupy the lounge hall in front of a fireplace, with pretty decor bedecking every nook and corner that makes for great conversational topics. The dining area is made up of a cosy round table with rattan high chairs, and take a walk behind towards the fully-equipped kitchen with its contemporary table top surface made of stone slab, as well as the kitchen island with bar stools made fully from wood. A back sliding glass door opens up to the backyard and to allow the gentle breeze to ventilate.
Underfloor heating is also supplied for the villa if the temperature drops, while all rooms are also equipped with air-conditioning against the heat. WiFi Internet access is provided complimentary throughout. The villa is also child-friendly as guests can request for high chairs, baby monitors, nappy bins, sterilizer and even animal inflatable toys to play in the pool. Babysitting services are also available upon advanced request. Housekeeping is performed 6 days a week, while laundry services are available 7 days per week. There is also dry cleaning provided upon request.
Besides spending time basking under the glory of Mother Nature that Son Bunyola estate is known for, guests can head forth to the pebble beaches and coves, which will take about 40 minutes to reach via Villa Sa Terra Rotja. With the great mountainous landscape, guests could go hiking or proceed for a picnic in the woods. For something cultural and interesting, the traditional Mallorcan villages of Banyalbufar and Esporles are worth checking out via a drive to Sa Terra Rotja, especially for the restaurants and tapas bars that can be found here.
