Villa Malut

I had read a lot of reviews before I booked a villa @ Ambong Pool Villas. Mostly all the people enjoyed the outstanding service and friendly atmosphere of staff. I first thought that some people may be exaggerating; however, when I arrived there I realized from the first few minutes that they were not! Ambong Pool Villas' staff is striving for excellence, and their sole mission is to make you feel happy, comfortable and relaxed. They would do anything to achieve this mission! You will find the smile on each and everyone's face no matter where .. no matter when, they really care about you. You can feel this from the smiling and welcoming staff in the restaurant, the driver, housekeeping and of course Evelyn. The resort is located in a good place that it near to Cenang vital street that contains shops, restaurants and everything. The resorts entry has a high slope which may make it a bit difficult for children to use. However, there's a car with a driver that is freely available to drop you to your destinations along with a small mobile phone to call the driver at anytime. Talking about the place itself, the villa I stayed @ is named Malut and it's beautifully located in the heart of the rainforest with a clear view of the ocean at the end of the view. The villa is equipped with everything you may, and may not, want to use such as bottled water, soft drinks, snacks, tea n coffee, fruit basket, dining sets, kettle, microwave .. and much more. The pool is nice in terms of space and location which gives a good view from inside the living area. The housekeeping takes place twice a day, once in the morning and another time at 6 PM when some anti insects materials are placed outside the villa. Since the villa is located in the rainforest, it's quite expected to see some insects, but you are not likely to see many of them inside the villa. Although this villa is best fitting for couples and honeymooners, Evelyn and her team made my little daughters happy by giving them nice toys :) I tried the laundry service (provided by a third party), but I wouldn't recommend it since it was not that good. The breakfast has a lot of varieties and is made specially for your (a la carte). So, you choose whatever you like from the menu and whatever portions and you have it made for you. A nice gesture from Evelyn is that when she knew that our departure is in the early morning (even before the breakfast time), she asked the restaurant staff to send us a continental breakfast the night before our departure in order to enjoy the breakfast at the villa before checking out. Oh .. forgot to tell you that the bed was super cozy, I think this is best one I've ever slept on :D Thank you Ambong Pool Villas for that nice memorable time!

We stayed at amazing Villa 'Malut' - simple yet so energizing, all thanks to the very location of these Villas, set in an intimate secondary forest on a hill overlooking the Andaman sea. Loved the luxurious details in the villa and that we had total privacy. Ambong Pool Villas is a must-visit for anyone looking to experience a serene & restful holiday. The perfectly warm service by the Manager/s & staff made it such a memorable experience & we can't wait to visit again!! Be sure to go for a rejuvenating massage at the Ishan Spa to complete the holiday. The place is located strategically on Pantai Tengah so one can just take a stroll to the various eateries, pubs and local hangouts nearby. Visitors are given a handphone with handy numbers to be in touch with the ever so helpful staff at anytime - a first for us, very personal & a brilliant idea.
