A stroll along the fort walls is incredibly scenic, and is accompanied by views out to the ocean.
For a different scenery altogether, plan a tour with friends and family to Udawalawe National Park. Here, you'll get the chance to see herds of elephants, sambar deer and crocodiles up close as your traverse through dense forests and marshes. The national park is about four hours' drive from your villa.
