STAY HERE! You won’t regret it. There aren’t enough words to express my gratitude for this venue and the staff. First of all, the photos are 100% accurate. Everything from the beds to the pool is extraordinary. The decoration is welcoming, the floor plan is open and free....I can go on and on about every single detail down to the Bluetooth speakers that allowed us to play music from our phones. I think it’s important to start off with safety. Our driver told us he’s never heard of any crime in this area and once you’re in the villa’s enclosed property, it feels like you’re in a home away from home. There is a (beautiful, generous and amazing!) family that stays on the property. They take care of the gorgeous landscape and care for the venue. They make sure the gate is locked at night. Bottom line: you’re safe and sound. Next, let’s talk about cleanliness. I don’t think it’s possible for a villa to be more clean. Everyone takes off their shoes before entering and walking around barefoot feels like paradise. Next, the pool....I can’t say enough about this pool! We went in September and the temperature was perfect. We asked the staff to keep the lights on at night so we can go night swimming whenever we wanted (plus they leave towels outside daily, even though there are pool towels in your room too). And the rooms! They are so quaint and beautiful! Each room has its own air conditioning unit, safe, lovely decor, locks on every door....the rooms themselves felt like a home away from home. And the bathrooms were probably one of the most impressive parts of the villa. The outdoor showers gave our retreat the exact touch needed to get a real sense that we were in Bali. Coming from the US, we barely ever see outdoor showers, so it was a nice change. Plus you hear roosters and cows while you’re outside in the bathroom! It’s the real Bali experience :) If you don’t want to shower outside, there’s an indoor enclosed shower you can use near the massage room. The staff arranged for massage therapists to come to the villa and you can have a massage daily if you want! We went for a personal development retreat and there was plenty of space for all eleven of us to gather, from the couches to the yoga shalla. And the kitchen! All amenities, updated, and modern...everything we needed was there. The plates, etc were beautiful. I wish my kitchen was all decked out like that :) Finally, last but not least: the staff. I’m finding myself tearing up writing this. The staff became our family. We trusted and loved them like family. They took care of us as if we were related to them, that’s how it felt. I will never forget the amazing staff. I had a dream to one day lead a personal development retreat in Bali and out of ALL the venues (I did countless hours of research on venues), I ended up with the most perfect one. We are SO lucky! And finally the location: it’s walking distance to the best surf spots in the world. And if you don’t surf like us, you’ll still enjoy walking around the quaint beach town. I can’t say thank you enough to the entire team at Bingin Retreat and I can’t wait to see them all again.
