Villa Machinchang

We arrived at Ambong Villas after staying at the majesty in KL and the E&O in Penang. While these places were lovely hotels, my breath was taken away the minute we walk in our villa. We stayed in Machinchang Villa which faces west towards a beautiful island. The private pool was inviting in the heat so we quickly went in to change into our suits. Half way to changing, I asked myself why I need a bathing suit. After staying at all the big hotels, it was wonderful to have complete privacy. Only the monkeys could see us. The villa was very clean, well kept and appointed with everything we could possibly need, including a sarong. The food was excellent!! Generally, we don't eat dinner at the hotel in which we stay but we make an exception here because the views of the sunset from the restaurant was so stunning. The transportation included was excellent and we always received great information from the lovely members of staff who drove us to town. Frankly, we didn't around much because we loved our villa so much. After being on the move in KL and Penang, it was nice to just recharge. What really impressed me was Ambong's wonderful staff; kind, carrying and friendly. I wanted to hug each and every one of them. In the end, it's the people you remember and I have a soft spot in my heart for the Ambong family. Thanks for making our stay so magical.
