Villa Raya

My family and I stayed at Villa Raya at Ambong Pool Villas last month and had the most pleasurable stay that we could imagine. When check-in, we were greeted by the wonderful staff and a nice welcome drink and then we were given a form with numbers set up for room service or transportation or any extras. We then went to our private three bedroom villa. The villa was up a steep hill - we hired a car and they had parking outside the villa however Ambong will pick you up and transport you around the area. The villa was beautiful with dark wood floors, huge beds, amazing linen, great stone work and a huge outside dining area. The pool surrounded the villa and also had a shallow kids area with a waterfall shower in the shade - very well thought out as the heat and sun in Malaysia can be dangerous. We didn't want to leave the villa as Ambong has stocked the fridge with all of the essentials (and more) and the restaurant which is Rimba Restaurant has a great menu and affordable price. We didn't get to see much of Langkawi, as all we wanted to do was lounge around the villa, perfectly secluded. The kids watched the monkeys nearby and look out for hornbills. And us adults, enjoyed the food and wine on offer and all of us thoroughly enjoyed the pool and it has an amazing view. Best family holiday ever!!!!! Thank you Ambong and your wonderful team.
