Villa Bodhi is a compound of villas set in peaceful countryside a short distance above Ubud. Before arriving I was a bit apprehensive that we would be isolated away from Ubud, but the tranquility of Villa Bodhi was a welcome relief from the bustle of the town. The garden is sublime ( a much overused word in reviews but in this case justified!) Every view is just perfect, every angle carefully curated and meticulously maintained. Our manager Made Sukadana made the holiday completely - friendly, calm& unflustered, anticipating every need. If you are lucky enough to stay there, have a chat with Made about what activities you are hoping to fit in & he will organise it all. In terms of service, the place is faultless: Gusti the chef cheerfully catered on demand for our crowd of 7 adults, including 1vegetarian & 1 vegan. The other staff organised laundry & housekeeping with a minimum of fuss. An added bonus were the thriving water gardens which hosted a fascinating community of frogs, fish and lizards. We hope to return to Villa Bodhi again and recommend it without qualifications!
