Villa Kemarong

My husband and I stayed here for six nights in early September. We hopped off the plane and resort driver was there to take us to the property. It was early in the day so we were treated to breakfast while they took our luggage to our room. They have excellent choices on the menu, both local and western. However if you have any diet restriction (I'm gluten free and my husband is diabetic) you need to make sure you had emailed them before you arrived and I'm sure they will be able to accommodate you. I hadn't mentioned it beforehand and so just kept with a few safe choices throughout our visit. The staff in the restaurant is very attentive and friendly. Actually, of all the staff throughout the property is happy to help in anyway and will bend offer backwards to make sure your stay is perfect. Our villa was amazing!! We have an outdoor area with a coffee bar, fridge, microwave and table so you can lounge in the shade (or cover up from the rain, in our case), eat a meal or just enjoy a cup of coffee while watching the gorgeous sunrise. The pool was great too! The king bed is super comfy and the view from it couldn't be beat. The large bathroom has a shower with a glass wall overlooking the pool and the view of the beach. It was all very private and super relaxing (but no bathtub). I especially enjoyed the birds and the monkeys on the property. There's a driver on hand will take you into town (a five minutes drive down the hill) whenever you wish. There are plenty restaurant and shop within the five minutes drive, or they can take you to the taxi stand so you can hire a driver to take you to explore the other side of the island (usually 30 RMB per way). The staff is happy to suggest excursions, tours, etc, if you need help deciding how to spend your time. We did a jet ski tour, bird watching tour, local village tour, hiked the jungle at night, golfed the Ernie Els Golf Course, shop all over the island and did the sky bridge. OH and the spa!! We spent two afternoons at their spa and it was heavenly. The massage techs were very professional and talented. If you are looking a get away for a quiet and relaxing vacation, this is definitely a great options!!!
