The impressive eleven bedroom Mandalay Villas on Bali's gorgeous south-west coast provide panoramic views of luxuriant rice fields going all the way to the Indian Ocean. However, this peaceful refuge is only 10 minutes from Canggu, Bali's cosmopolitan center, and even closer to Tanah Lot, Bali's dramatic and gorgeous sea temple.
The elite haven boasts two gorgeous swimming pools and is truly ideal for wedding venues or special events as it is made up of vast ground and two exquisite villas: Mandalay Dua, which houses four bedrooms, and Villa Mandalay, which houses seven bedrooms.
All of the eleven guest rooms in this impeccable estate can accommodate up to 22 persons and include air conditioning, ceiling fans, and king-size beds with fresh white linens. They also have flat-screen TVs with DVD players. Walk-through dressing rooms lead to grand ensuite bathrooms with grey andesite stone tiling, twin vanities (except in the studio), statue-filled alcoves, and custom amenities.
Two large master bedrooms flank the living room, each with its own unique artwork. Long wooden desks nestle in window alcoves with garden views, and each has a timber deck surrounded by hedges and flower boxes and furnished with a table, chairs, and daybed in the evenings. Separate his-and-hers vanities and enormous terrazzo bathtubs are featured in the spacious bathrooms.
The four guest bedrooms at Villa Mandalay are located around the swimming pool, with glass doors opening onto timber decking in the front and gardens in the back. Two of the rooms offer windows with views of the lovely rice fields and comfortable window seats from which to enjoy them. The other two rooms have built-in desks and window alcoves with views of tropical vegetation.
The entire estate is surrounded by lush flourishing greenery, including frangipani, palms, and birds of paradise flowers. The six-tee pitch and putt golf course is set on immaculate lawns yet provides the impression of being in the heart of the rice fields. At the further end of the garden, a thatched balé (pavilion) provides a calm haven.
Steps lead down from the living area to the 25-meter swimming pool, which is flanked by sun loungers shaded by fashionable parasols and tiled in green stone. The ambient bamboo balé pavilion is nestled amid water gardens teeming with calla lilies and colorful fish, and may be reached by walking along the timber deck. The balé is equipped with a dining table, eight chairs, and a cozy rattan lounge suite that overlooks the rice terrace and the ocean. The aroma of cedar wood greets you on the lower floor, opposite to the studio bedroom, in a full-sized Finnish-style sauna with a magnificent garden view and a separate shower area.
A massive Palimanan stone frieze flanked by exquisite Javanese figures dominates the villa's entrance, leading to the fan-cooled living and dining pavilion with its wooden flooring, high ceiling, and evocative Indonesian artwork. A glass-topped dining table seats 12 people, and a smaller table seats four people. Built-in sofas upholstered in earthy tones and coffee tables scattered with periodicals can be seen in the large alcoves on either side. An iPod dock and surround-sound system are available in the back bar, while ethnic items are displayed against a red feature wall. On one side, there's a guest bathroom, and on the other, there's a kitchen with everything you need to create your family’s favorite meals. The mezzanine media room's steep sloping rattan ceilings create an evocative air-conditioned environment for resting on mattresses and cushions and watching movies with surround sound on the 62-inch TV. DVDs and novels are stacked high on the shelves.
A Villa Manager, chef, villa attendants, garden and pool maintenance personnel, and security are all part of the estate's employees and are ready to serve guests residence. Upon additional request, babysitters and masseuses are also available with extra charges applied. For the little ones, a baby crib, a high chair, DVDs, and board games are available.
To adjust to the new normal in the present COVID-19 situation, we have developed tight hygiene controls and cleaning processes. The estate’s employees have received significant training and implemented safety management systems across the property. Guests and workers' health and well-being remain their top priorities.
Mandalay Villas have an incomparable rural environment yet are only a short drive away from Canggu, Bali's hottest and hippest hangout. The villas overlook acres of rice fields that have remained untouched for decades, as well as the gleaming Indian Ocean, which is only 3 kilometers away. The black sands of Seseh Beach and the renowned Tanah Lot Sea Temple are only a short walk or drive away. Canggu's many new cafés, beach bars, restaurants, and boutiques are just 13 kilometers away, as is cosmopolitan Seminyak. Guests can rent a car and driver for an additional fee.
