East Samui villas for rent
Hua Thanon and Lamai are the main coastal towns in East Samui. Lamai, located further up north, is the busier town of the two. It’s known for its vibrant nightlife and dining scene; vacationers will have no lack of beach clubs or restaurants to choose from. The town is also home to some of the island’s most popular cultural attractions, like the Hin Ta and Hin Ya Rocks. In comparison, Hua Thanon is far quieter; a sense of tranquility permeates the town, and it offers little in terms of dining or attractions.
Choose from a wide selection of East Samui villas, which range from romantic one bedroom vacation rentals, to seven bedroom estates made for housing a clan. Each of our properties are carefully selected, and check off all the right boxes: private pools, tropical garden, indoor-outdoor living spaces and impeccable guest services. From organising private dining experiences to in-villa spa treatments or special events, there’s no request that’s too large for the on-site service team at your villa to handle.
While in Lamai, hang out at Lamai Beach (the sunrise views are incredible), view the rock formations of Hin Ta and Hin Yai, stroll up to Pagoda Khao Chedi, a golden pagoda located atop a hill, try your hand at cooking local dishes at Lamai Thai Cooking School or take in the stunning vistas from Lamai Viewpoint. Take your pick from dining establishments like Beach Republic Ocean Club, The Bistro at Rocky's Boutique Resort or Sabeinglae Restaurant, a casual venue that wins diners over with its tasty Thai fare.
While Hua Thanon doesn’t boast as many attractions, it’s just about 11 minutes’ drive away from Lamai, so villa vacationers residing in the sleepy, laid back town are still within close proximity to restaurants and local amenities. Within the town, there’s Samahita Retreat, a beautiful seafront venue that offers drop-in yoga classes, Shiva Samui Beach Club and Sweet Sisters Cafe, a cosy hangout known for its relaxed ambience and wholesome organic fare.
In addition to its paradisiacal beaches, Samui is known for its spectacular landscapes, cultural attractions and outdoor and watersport activities. The iconic Big Buddha is a must-see attraction, as are sites like Wat Plai Laem, Laem Sor Pagoda, Samui Cultural Centre and Secret Buddha Garden.
Outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy exploring the island through a full or half-day bicycle tour, or ziplining through the lush jungles at the Canopy Adventures Secret Falls. Or hop off on a speedboat to offshore attractions like Ko Tao or Ang Thong National Marine Park, both of which are known for being exceptional scuba diving and snorkeling destinations.
